PP must think it was a boulder.

So, the whole country saw the video of a man walking in the alley. Yet, the man in the alley didn't see the video and say that he was just walking home at night.
The ex is overachiever in everything. From surgeon to murdered.

I’m leaning towards the ex-husband.

Prior to meeting her dentist husband, she worked in early childhood education. Women with her background typically are not divorcing surgeons, especially before having any children. The route of early childhood education to marrying a surgeon is a one-way golden ticket to being a wealthy stay at home mom.

There’s something weird happening with that previous divorce. And I bet the records are all sealed.

I nailed this. Kudos to me.

+1 he must have been a real psycho and that scared her off.

She left him only 7 months after the wedding, while he was in residency. He apparently dragged out the divorce, refusing to sign the paperwork. It took nearly 2 years from the wedding day for the divorce to be finalized.

It is absolutely chilling that he basically harbored a grudge for over a decade. The guy was probably making 7 figures.

That said, surgeons are a top 5 profession for psychopaths.

I mean, if this was an urban area (which it appeared to be), it wouldn't be unusual for some random person, whether homeless or wandering around after a bar closed, to be walking around in the middle of the night, so I didn't find that particularly unusual. It may not be someone who would be particularly into watching news footage and current events. Certainly something that had to be explored by investivators and turned out to be the murderer in this case, but I didn't think that it was definitively the killer given that this didn't appear to be suburbia, and the footage didn't show him entering and exiting the house.

Yep, there's reasonable doubt here. Not guilty. And he's a surgeon. We need surgeons.

That's what I was wondering about! I do not open my door for any unexpected visitors, let alone a past romantic partner in the middle of the night.

They were shot upstairs in the bedroom so I doubt they let him in and then went to the bedroom.

I didn't think it was him, he just didn't seem connected to them anymore.

+1 this is the weirdest part of it

I’m not sure I believe it was him.

+1. Women with degrees that don't lead to much money shouldn't marry jerks just because they're surgeons. This woman moved on from surgeon to dentist (it was reported that she and dentist met online) but apparently had better luck in the second marriage and was a stay-at-home mom until first husband came back.

Either the surgeon doesn't pay attention at all to true crime or didn't care about getting caught. Maybe he had some type of psychological break. The vehicle was easily traceable to him. Even the hitmen in the Adelson trial rented a Prius, I believe under a fake name.

This part is interesting. No sign of forced entry, I believe, and the doors were clearly locked when the person checking on them called 911.

She met the dentist online? Surgeon to dentist? Is she educated? Unless she was also in health care, interesting she ended up married to two doctors…

He could’ve shown up saying he had news about his mother dying or something that might garner enough sympathy for the wife to open the door. Once he was in, it was over.

As for the door being locked, that could be true. If it’s like our house, the door knob could be locked from the inside as you are leaving. What would be unlocked is the deadbolt. That’s a nuanced detail that might not be apparent in news reports.
