| People are killed all the time. Is there some reason why this murder of this couple in — OHIO — is worthy of discussion here? It’s so weird. |
What topics are worthy of discussion here? |
It’s a class indicator. It’s how you know they weren’t the typical murder victims. News is about outlier events. |
They usually don’t involve murders of random people hundreds of miles away. They tend to be DC-related or topical per threads. |
I will be sure to police this in the future. Although, have you noticed the title of this forum? |
| This was either drugs or an affair. |
I’m leaning towards the ex-husband. Prior to meeting her dentist husband, she worked in early childhood education. Women with her background typically are not divorcing surgeons, especially before having any children. The route of early childhood education to marrying a surgeon is a one-way golden ticket to being a wealthy stay at home mom. There’s something weird happening with that previous divorce. And I bet the records are all sealed. |
What in the hell are you talking about? That’s exactly what happened. |
Oh my God. That is absolutely horrific. |
The wife was very very pretty. That’s enough to get my attention. |
She's okay. Looks like some of our neighbors. Young, I'll give you Still, weird - NP, not in DMV or Ohio but some are crying over this |
There is zero evidence of this so far. Just people speculating. |
25 years ago it was a truly bad neighborhood. Now it’s gentrified as others have said and it’s really close to a lot of nicer neighborhoods where it’s common for young couples to start out. I’m guessing from the fact that he was working all the way out in Athens (where Ohio University is) and that she has been a preschool teacher, they probably had a ton of school loans and he may have either spent a lot of money buying into a practice or struggled to find a more well-paying dental job nearby. It’s an area I would live in my late 20s/early 30s but would move before kids came or before kids were in kindergarten if I could afford it. |
| Burglaries don't go wrong and result in two people being killed like this. Most burglars just try to leave if you catch them. Definitely targeted or murder-suicide. |
| Statistically, dentists have a higher rate of suicide and drug use than other professions. |
