Hobby Lobby paid a living wage and provided wonderful health benefits to even part time workers, long before the living wage movement and obamacare were a thing, FYI

Hobby Lobby is conservative Christian right, and opposed to birth control. Nope.

So? It’s a store. They sell stuff. Buy it or don’t.

You are ridiculous PP

And we have a right not to shop there. It's all the same cheap Chinese junk anyhow.

You can buy exactly that same stuff from the Chinese directly, without funding all the evangelical crap.

Same.

I'll boycott someplace that has wronged me, but boycott Target because you don't like their politics? Yall are the most narrow minded people on the face of the earth. I can see boycotting Amazon because I don't want to throw my money at a monster corporation that has pushed out of business multiple other companies and privately owned businesses. But Target? They have fair prices, a nice selection of decent quality products, they pay their employees well and treat them well. When you go after Target you are harming all their employees, not just the corporation. I guess that's okay with you folks, just so long as you get to make your point.

You seem to have no understanding of target. Look at the prices online, then go to the store and look at the prices on the shelf then try to ring out. ALL 3 will be different prices. Look for say sponges at the store. They will be in two different parts of the store with two different prices. Lots of items they do that on. But go ahead and keep thinking target is amazing and keep your head in the sand.

I'll shop for price at Temu and for quick delivery and better selection at Amazon. I won't buy coffee at Starbucks because I can make a better latte' at home for less than 50 cents, exactly how I like it. I don't eat at McDonalds (except breakfast), Burger King, Wendy's, etc because their food is garbage. I do eat at Chic Fil A.

Well then you are not an American because Home Depot not only is a treasonous company it supported police killers and the guy that planned a coup against the US government and they literally sell your data to the US government and survallence you fool

Learn to spell before you insult others, moron.

That is not even remotely possible. Did Penzy’s post disparaging and cruel comments about a couple who had just been murdered by their son?

I’ve heard of Penzy’s but never ordered anything from them. What exactly offends you so much?!

The only place I actively stopped patronizing in a form of boycott is Penzy's. The owner abused the email lists to send mass emails that pretty much called everyone voting for Trump Hitler incarnate. And it wasn't just one email. He started going wild when George Floyd happened.

Apparently he lost so much business that he had to resort to asking for donations..

Anyone who voted for Trump basically IS Hitler incarnate. They all hate America and everything it stands for.

Wonderful health benefits that don't include access to birth control for women

Like I said, I don’t shop there…but it’s interesting that they were ahead of the curve in terms of paying a living wage (for moral reasons).

And ICYMI, Hobby Lobby employees do actually have access to birth control—all methods. The Supreme Court decision (while troubling) prompted an accommodation whereby the health insurance company provides direct access to the select items Hobby Lobby didn’t want a hand in providing (ie: Plan B, IUDs, etc.). So, practically speaking, their employees have access to all methods (and standard BC like the pill were never at issue, just the abortive methods, but the end result is those methods were in fact provided and covered).

Anyway…

I still don't want to support a company who is willing to go to the Supreme Court to get exempted from providing birth control, and doing a work around so the insurance company hands the items to the employee directly. I don't want to shop companies where the owners need legislation in order to say they aren't violating their religious convictions by touching birth control.

And yes, people/groups who are actively against abortion, view most forms of the "standard" pill in this category because BC pills have a back up method of making the lining inhospitable to implantation, should an egg happen to slip through and get fertilized. There might be a pill version that doesn't thin the lining, but if they had their way, most brands of BC pills would go away.

Okay.

But the lawsuit wasn’t actually about the BC pill. It was about Plan B, and long story short, HL employees do have access to Plan B covered directly through their insurance.

Nonetheless, I’ve never set foot in a HL store. And I’m pro-choice. I just think it’s interesting that some corporations have a more complicated and nuanced track record than most realize.

Again: paying a living wage before others did—and actually providing BC despite what most people believe. And, they do sell Hanukkah decor despite what many critics think.

I find all of this interesting. That’s all.

Utter BS

Hobby Lobby is a RW company they support Trump who is a traitor to the US. Did you not read Jack Smith's report????

Hobby Lobby treats it's employees like crap. Does not want to pay benefits and purposely schedules them so they don't have to pay benefits.

They give monies to Erin Hawley MRS HANDMAIDS TALE>

Target is on my white list. They will never see my hard earned money.
As I’m black I also don’t equate black with being bad.

I have no idea where your Target is, but mine is not like that. Now Wegmans, on the other hand, is exactly like what you described.

In addition to all the right wing, union busting orgs that I will boycott because I don't want any of my hard earned money supporting those things for our country, anything that GGW supports, I am against. They are so anti-suburbs, so myopic about affordable housing to the detriment of schools, traffic and everything else, that if they are for something, I am against it

I am fully educated on the historical use of the word “black” to connote negativity.
I said what I said.

Whole Foods is crap. I avoid supporting them in any way. I feel the same about Lowes. I had a store employee intentionally double charge me for an item. The guy was strange and made several weird comments to me and I had a hard time understanding him. He thought a part of the item I was buying was something I was stealing. It was bizarre. I went back to the store to get a refund and the manager was worse than the employee. She made several rude comments so, I called Lowes 800 number and filed a complaint. I posted on social media about my experience and Lowes reached out to me and admitted they took my complaint and threw it away. I saw on yelp that other people had the exact same complaint about the manager. Lowes doesn't give a crap.

Target is also on my black list because they aren't good at anything other than children's clothes/toys. They seem to have a thousand employees around but if you have a question, you'll never find one. They're a lousy grocery store, their adult clothes are terrible, their home good aren't very nice and are far too expensive given competition from Home Goods and AtHome. Once your kids are mid elementary school, why would you shop there?
