What stores are on your blacklist?

You should have seen how the checker freaked out when I asked when the Halloween stuff was going on sale. I stupidly went there because I was looking for big plastic pumpkins for a craft. A friend pointed me there and had no clue that you don't say that word in HL. They have fall stuff but no Halloween.

I also don't shop at places that trail me around the store like target and CVS. Places that have been rude to me and treated me poorly like Home Depot and Target, and CVS.

I refuse to use Labcorp ever again.

I've never used lyft or uber because millennials recreating the taxi is just stupid. I won't use airbnb because you can't sue for the many cameras they have watching you. These companies are disgusting.

I work very hard for my money and I'm careful were I spend it and to which countries my money will go to. I avoid "made in china" as best as I can and its pretty easy to do if your careful.

I agree about being followed around in Target and Lowes. I was told most shoplifters are older white women. It is an incorrect myth and I am openly react when I'm treated as such. My Home Depot has always been nice.

Re "made in China" you are deluding yourself.

Hobby Lobby paid a living wage and provided wonderful health benefits to even part time workers, long before the living wage movement and obamacare were a thing, FYI

Hobby Lobby is conservative Christian right, and opposed to birth control. Nope.

So? It’s a store. They sell stuff. Buy it or don’t.

You are ridiculous PP

If you read the background the HL people are really, really way off. I don't support them.

I have absolutely seen this. You're thinking of Halloween. They do not sell Halloween merchandise.

They sell all kinds of things related to Halloween right up to scary Jason related crap just don't dare say the word in the store.

Target

DD worked as a store manager what an awful corporation.

The things they made her do in terms of cutting benefits of employees was horrifying.

Guys that take the stuff off the trucks would do back breaking work and then target would never pay medical ie injury protection.

One person was taking care of his siblings parents were in jail. He was running late and wore the wrong pants one day (target makes employees buy their own uniform), this young man showed up exactly on time, and DD had to fire him for wearing the wrong pants.

Hey still paid their CEO billions while the general worker loses more benefits...

Will never shop their again.

Most stores are absolutely terrible to their employees when it comes to uniforms (my dd had to buy $60 shoes and that money came out of her paycheck), scheduling, company respect for employees. It'd be better to have a list of stores that treat their employees well so we can patronize them.

I have a hard time outright banning things because sometimes I just don’t have a crazy extra amount of money or time to find a go-around. I also simply can’t find some things I need elsewhere.

I shop as little as possible from Amazon and have basically cut out Starbucks even though it was a fun thing for the family pretty regularly. (Wish they would open a real cafe in my hood.)

I also wouldn’t go to a ChickFilA or Walmart or Hobby Lobby unless I was starving. Try to use vrbo instead of airbnb (but I kind of doub tthey’re better). But basically every large corp is awful. And there’s almost no place left to get what you need.

This is why we buy so much at Costco. Head and shoulders and entire torso above the competition in that regard.

I tried to get my products into Target a few years back and basically there was no way for me to do it since I am white. I was literally banned from applying based on my race. So they leave a bad taste in my mouth either way. Would be cool if people just tried to mimic the population breakdown and really go on merit. I try not to shop there because it’s horrible for the environment and perpetuates cheap consumption.

None. I love Amazon. I never go to CVS and Target if I can help it, but that's because I don't really like them. Not because of "politics".

If you don’t follow the news, they have terminated that policy.
