Kate Middleton's New Hair

Her hair has probably gone gray and definitely looks like she has extensions. She really looks better in dark hair but it may be too much work to keep the gray in check.

And I remember how devastated she was to lose her hair and have her appearance change so quickly during/after the treatment. I think that the appearance changes were, in a way, as hard for her as the disease. And people were so mean. I remember a girl at school saying something really nasty about what her mom had said about my mother's changed appearance (they didn't know she had cancer or was undergoing treatment).

My point is, you guys know this woman had cancer. You must realize it is highly likely that the full details weren't released. This woman was very ill, and may still be ill. She may NOT WANT the public to know it if her cancer is not, in fact, cured; she may not want people to know if she is still battling with the disease.

It seems so mean-spirited to be viciously gossiping about her hair.

How will you feel about posting these comments if--god forbid--it turns out that she IS still sick and something tragic happens in the near future to make you aware of that?

There are plenty of healthy celebrities to mock. Can't you focus on one of them?

I feel really bad for her. She is either still very sick or at risk of a recurrence. She didn’t just do chemo for fun, no matter how they tried to make it sound like the chemo was just “preventative.” Leave her alone. Her hair is fine.

Seriously, 12 pages almost entirely critical of a cancer survivor’s hair?!? WTF is wrong with humanity? I appreciate those who posted to leave her alone. The rest of you should take a look in the mirror. This isn’t about criticizing a healthy someone in the public eye who puts themselves out there for public consumption.

This thread shows the worst of DCUM.

It's too thick for her age. Either a wig or hair extensions.

I think it is so thick because the bleaching and the dye changed the texture, her hair isn't as smooth anymore, it almost looks like the texture of relaxed 4b hair (which I have had). It actually would look chic if she wore it slicked back in a bun or pony or something OR had it cut into layers and and to a shorter length, but what she has now looks silly.

This is PP again, she isn't wearing a wig you can look at her edges and scalp and tell. Maybe there are pieces in the back, but no wig.

I think worse than the Barbie wig is the weird video of her smiling like a maniac under an umbrella while a bunch of little kids get rained on. At a minimum I would think she would have the PR instincts to pretend to cover them with her umbrella.

It can and she has done that in the past. Maybe they cut her budget.

Her parents have plenty of money for her to have a hairdresser and a stylist. She just needs better staff. And perhaps humility.

Her parents went bankrupt.

She should get a haircut like Cindy Crawford where the front pieces sweep back away from her face. She can keep a lot of the length as long as it isn’t so big on top and brushes away from her face.

Agree 100%. Your analysis is good, and I hate the soccer mom telling her to chop it off. The color isn't good. It makes her face look colorless. She should go back to chocolate colored.

You can see where the pieces start in the back where her part is suddenly up high and not on her head

When have you known DCUM to show compassion about a woman’s looks, particularly one who is in the public eye for her looks? The only example I can come up with is Pamela Anderson and why she’s spared is a mystery to me. So I don’t know it’s the worst of DCUM - seems pretty on brand.

Anonymous wrote:Shame on everyone here for criticizing a cancer patients wig. That’s what you’re all doing.

Kate is very fortunate to have so many resources in battling cancer, but at the end of the day, she’s a mom of young kids fighting cancer, going to work and trying to look her best and put a smile on her face as she does that.

Maybe she thinks it looks good. Maybe she’s done playing the exhausting game of pretending she’s gone through chemotherapy with no impact on her appearance. Everyone’s youthful looks fade at some point and what’s left is your character.

Thought they said she was done withm treatment

Look at Amal Clooney, how much praise she gets for her extremely long and thick hair. Kate has always had strong attachment to her hair. She experimented and it totally didn’t work out. Doesn’t mean there’s some grand conspiracy.

I thought this when I first saw this pic.

Considering that she underwent chemotherapy last year for cancer it would be extremely rare (even impossible!) to have such long, flowing hair after undergoing grueling chemotherapy.

I think she lost her hair over the course of her treatment ➕ is wearing wigs until her hair grows back.

I think she is beautiful no matter what but this color does not look good w/her skin tone.

It makes her look washed out.
The darker hair looks much better.
Maybe is she kept her dark hair as a base color then added in this color as a balayage highlighted look would have been better vs. the all over color as seen here.

And I agree, after enduring chemo for cancer this is likely not even her real hair.
Likely a wig.
