The bass player is definitely suss. Could be he conspired with a crew member to traffic her. The sightings included one or more men with her, depending. Why were those men not tracked down based on the descriptions?? I wonder if she wasn't taken to Venezuela after a stint in the Caribbean. She looked awful in the pick on the sex worker website. It's not unusual for their handlers to hook them on drugs to make them more compliant. I know chances are miniscule at this point, but I'm hoping against hope she might still be alive. |
+2 Between infections and drugs, definitely unlikely. Although I get what a PP wrote about sex trafficking not commonly involving American victims, it's the only thing that makes sense in light of the multiple credible sightings |
Two things make me believe she was abducted then forced into drugs and sex work.
1) Sightings. Beyond credible. Above all the fbi forensic analysis of the sex worker site photos. 2) She was 5 ft tall, the ship railing 4 1/2 ft tall. No way she fell, and there is zero evidence to indicate she was motivated to jump. She was having fun and excited about all the recent good developments in her life. Very weird about the Amy website access from Barbados and Curacao on birthdays and holidays. |
Apparently the FBI doesn't have jurisdiction to chase down those IP addresses, but I hope some hacker who watches the docuseries does! |
It's such a weird coincidence, and a nice thought that she could be alive, but it's been so long now. What leverage could they have over her at this point? The only thing I can imagine is that she's a drug addict. |
The Curacao brothel man relayed that she said her name, that she left the ship voluntarily to get drugs, and was basically entrapped after that. That seems consistent with the convo overheard with her presumed captors by the lady in the bathroom in 2005: forced into helping with drug deals and also sex work. The mention of being allowed to see the children was disturbing, and the possibility they could have been hers. She could have been a full-blown drug addict at that point. |
The consistency with the sightings is striking. The taxi driver same day the ship docked in Curacao, likely seeking drugs. After that she was seen in the company of two men, who seemed to be controlling her, at two different times. The tattoos were specific (scuba guy sighting). She 'purchased' drugs then owed them money and they forced her into service. She told the brothel guy she was there because of a $200 debt. If a full-blown drug addict at that time, might have always been in 'debt' with no possibility of freedom. Don't know what to make of the kids comment, but doubt they were hers. Not common for trafficked women to be allowed to proceed with pregnancies. Maybe she had grown attached to some, who knows. The Caribbean website hits on specific meaningful dates do allow for some hope, if very small. |
Here is the timeline of the sightings. I agree they appear credible, and consistent.
https://www.mensjournal.com/news/amy-lynn-bradley-sightings-full-list-with-timeline The photos on the sex worker website were there until 2008. No recent sightings, unfortunately |
I just checked out the graphics with all the key points from the forensic analysis on the amybradleyismissing website, and it is very convincing. |
I went to the family website, and more than one sighting apparently included Alfred Cotten, who was convicted of running a prostitution enterprise in the D.R. I hope he's been properly interrogated. |
I was surprised the Netflix doc didn't mention him. I guess not enough evidence at this point. |
And I don’t think she was as drunk as people are suggesting. She had six beers over a very long time period. |
Oh yeah, your last point is a good one, I had forgotten ! |
Her children? That would be a very strong motivation to stay down there. |
But unless she actually became one of the drug dealers' girlfriend, hard to see how she'd be allowed to reproduce. |
