Our state govt sucks. Our fed govt sucks. We need a local govt that holds the line or we are in huuuge trouble. |
+1 that MK endorsement made them nervous. Knives out now. |
Same. I haven’t followed this race at all until last week. APE is a huge red flag. Hard pass. Warning to any candidates who want to be taken seriously in the future. Don’t partner with APE. You’ll never wash yourself clean of that filth. Huge misjudgment, at best. |
Knives are always out for APE. She put herself there. |
I too am definitely not on the "Moe crew" either but still voted for her. Even before I found out about this AEA/APE letter, I found June cold and standoffish. I don't think she will listen to her constituents aside from some teachers. She, like Miranda has an agenda. I need open-minded school board members like Mary. Still scratching my head why Mary would endorse June, but I haven't agreed with what Mary has done either with APS 100%. |
Ditto. I didn’t know either one of them, but collaborating with APE is a non-starter for me. They suck and their steamroller tactics suck. I voted for Moe. |
Let’s also remember that June endorsed herself. Sketch from the beginning. |
and the attacks in a deleted post June made on elected officials who endorsed Moe. |
This article isn't too informative. Did anyone who watched the debate have thoughts?

It’s remarkable how little I know about these candidates’ platforms. They probably don’t differ too much from one another on issues affecting APS.
I voted for Moe because June embraced APE. If I wanted to support APE’s long term goals, I’d vote for Rives who I presume is running again. |
Has either candidate stated a (recent) view on the whole swing space plan that APS floated and then dropped a couple of years ago? |
For all you people with this position… do you feel the same way about members of Congress if they ever work on a single bipartisan initiative? This viewpoint seems ridiculous to me. We want to continue nothing but polarization & complete separation of the sides forever? |
June mentioned it during the NAACP debate on Monday night. I think she is supportive of closing or moving schools. I would have email to ask her a follow up, but there is no way to contact her on her website. |
Yes I would view it negatively if any potential elected official teamed up with a shady lobbying group with right wing ties that won't disclose who funds it. The fact that you think this is okay speaks volumes about your own views. |
+1 Seriously. |
