the risk is that two democrats split the vote and an eeeeeevil republican gets a seat. despite the fact that the position is non-partisan. and despite the fact that ranked choice voting would solve for this scenario.

the risk is that two democrats split the vote and an eeeeeevil republican gets a seat. despite the fact that the position is non-partisan. and despite the fact that ranked choice voting would solve for this scenario.

I live in a different state but extremist book banning Evangelicals got on our school board when they ran against two Democrats because it was a moderate D vs a progressive splitting the D vote while all the R voters picked their one candidate.
