Usha Vance - Fashion Thread

She should have invested in skin tight thermal undergarments, picked something with significantly less fabric, splurged to have it insulated and once again picked a more refined shoe (boot is fine but not that pair). I don’t know why she picked pink, red would have been much better, burgundy as well.

I actually don't hate the pink. One of the Biden granddaughters wore it in 2020 for the inauguration and it was pretty.

I honestly think every woman in red or blue depending on her husband's affiliation is super cloying.

Usha is not a pretty woman, she has good height, decent features and a fit body BUT her gray hair, under eyes circles age her a lot and she wants to wear these as a badge of honor so it’s fair that we criticize how we want.

Exactly. She thinks she's better than women who take pride in their appearance. Of course the Trump crew is probably thrilled because they think she'll appeal to ordinary women who don't have the botoxed and bleached look that a lot of MAGA women have.

No one is falling for it.

The bolded and your concluding wannabe snapping it off sentence are both deranged. What’s your issue? What suggests that this woman does not “take pride” in her appearance? I don’t get it. And I’ve posted - not her neighbor, not Indian American, not her friend, not Republican. Like how does this woman’s appearance get under your skin to this degree? I don’t think anything about her styling is an F-you to any of us watching her.

I think it is very clear that she wears the gray hair and underage bags as a badge of honor as PP said. If you can't see that, I can't make you see it. That's not me being a "wannabe" that's me seeing what is obvious to several people in this thread.

And she doesn't get under my skin to this degree. I think she actually looks nice today, largely because she appears to have spent time grooming herself.

+1 to all of this

DP, which means "different poster," by the way.

She does get to you. You’re incredibly nasty about her, and it’s bizarre. You shouldn’t take comfort in having company on this thread.

I think it is obvious Usha sees herself as superior to a lot of people. She certainly sees herself as superior to other minorities.

Lady. What more do you want? I think she looks pretty today.

Nothing against her, but she doesn't strike me as someone that is remotely interested in fashion. Not sure why there is a thread about this.

I think the pink coat is fine. The scarf tucked into the belt is odd. I do agree with the poster who said the Vances don't "match".

Again. There is an entire thread about the other Trump women. It's incredibly weird that some of you think this Trump woman is exempt from being discussed at all.

She looks beautiful. The soft pink and styling adds a pop of femininity in a sea of dark suits.

I’m a DC woman about Usha’s age and I would be distraught if I looked like her. Would be thrilled to look like melania though.

I can’t believe people legitimately think Melania is more attractive than Usha. Her hair isn’t great, her face is yanked and odd, her makeup gun is eternally set on sketchy Miami club, and her 90s-pornstyle implants throw off every look. It’s too bad because I do think Melania now is very interested in interesting fashion - she chose Delpozo on a couple occasions last term, and the collar she wore (in-a-PPROPRIATE) to Carter’s funeral was runway. She doesn’t -want- to have a Sports Illustrated look on the one hand, but she also doesn’t want a unique runway model look for real for real.

I deplore the Vances’s beliefs. I am not South Asian nor related to Usha. But she has great IMO hair, a great figure, and a lovely face. I hate overly applied makeup - 90s kid, original Bobbi Brown forever for me please - and I -like- that Usha is not creating a mask with concealer and foundation. It’s unnecessary. I truly don’t see what her harshest detractors see, and I agree that her winter lewks need some help.

Everyone keeps saying she has a great figure. She’s thin. What else is great about it? Serious question. Also I don’t like the gray. Despite these two comments, I don’t see what her harshest detractors see either.

Girl, I posted about her husband's awful ill-fitting suit in the other thread, there's no sexism here. Men and women in this administration both dress atrociously.

The bottom fit is so much more flattering, and the overall look is much better. I don't know what she's punishing her own boobs for, though -- I feel like I'm an unwilling participant in something. But otherwise lovely.

She may be uncomfortable with accentuating them/wearing a more pushup style. That's my take on it.

No, it's that the pushup style she wears gives her hangover fat at the sides, by her armpits. She's not a chunky person, so it's a strange choice -- why not wear a fitted but still relatively flat chest that doesn't squeeze what she has into her armpits? I don't get it.

EXACTLY - a lot of women look bad in strapless dresses because of this. It's so weird. She'd do better with a straight across strapless dress.

Incoming Second Lady, Usha Vance, wears a custom noir velvet gown with asymmetric floral accents and a sweetheart neckline for the Vice President’s Dinner.

Let's also point out that JD is wearing a jacket that is far too small and tight for him. It's like he picked up someone else's. It's embarrassing.

White is a mourning color in the Hindu religion. (I don't know if that is why she chose it but it seems likely it would be a reason.)

Oh ladies, that doesn't mean we wear white to ALL funerals. I wear black to the funerals I'm supposed to wear black to and white to the funerals I'm supposed to wear white to. Usha isn't dumb, she is born and raised in the US, she knows when to wear black to funerals. This is not a religion thing.
