Yeah, hard disagree. I buy presents for my kids for Christmas, but I don't let them demand what they want, whether or not I can afford it. Poster is considering whether to buy her kid a gift for the ED day. She asked for feedback. |
OP also said kid was requesting - a desire, a want. No one used word demand at anytime. |
Not PP, but I think the point is that a parent shouldn't not buy something they would otherwise buy BECAUSE is is ED swag. If you would buy your kid a sweatshirt at a sporting event, concert, or give them money to buy some clothes that they want for the season, you should not treat this any differently. |
