Newsflash: Kamala has never won a single election on her own. She got destroyed in the 2020 primaries. She is VP because the Dems are obsessed with ID politics. She wasn't even nominated to run in 2024 by the electorate in the primaries.

She has been given automatic access at every level of the game without the voters having a say. Why would she win in the general elections where she has no more string pullers?

You might need to read up on her history, my friend. She’s won elections.

Kamala Harris has never won an election. Lol,.you think CA internal politics count for national elections? She was obliterated in the 2020 primaries in the first round. She wasn't even elected to run this year, lol. The dem party threw away the will of their voting base and decided to tell the entire country what is good for them. Harris and never won an election.

People who are this stupid should not be allowed to vote. The atrocious grammar, however, assumes this a troll.

Dems can not play nice. Nor, do I think they will. Harris is tougher than Gore, this is more important.

Pretty much. Next boss same as the old boss.

She’s not unintelligent. What degrees do you have? What state's bar exam have you passed? Of all the criticisms you people have, this is the dumbest one.

Enough with bathroom issues, gender affirming care for minors, and all of these other ID issues. The economy and mass illegal immigration are way more important and what voters care about the most.

+1 I think they will move right

+1 I'm a Harris voter. I'm personally not against immigration and I hate the demonization of undocumented immigrants. That being said, it's clear that Democrats have either intentionally or unintentionally focused way too much on identity politics. They really need to look back on the Obama years. The ACA is an achievement but its benefits for working people are pretty limited. The middle class is hollowing out. What are they really doing for working people? I abhor Trump and his rhetoric, but Democrats really need to figure out a message beyond "Trump is terrible". I don't really understand what they are doing with immigration. I'm glad they don't hate immigrants, but Biden and Harris have really not had a coherent approach to it. It doesn't seem like they care?

Obama should go down in history as probably the worst President of the modern age. The Great Divider blew a historic opportunity to unite this country racially. He did just the opposite. Everything about him was about race. He poured gasoline on the racial tensions in the country. Perfect example was his 2009 White House Beer Garden Summit. In fact, there's a strong argument that Trump was elected in 2016 as blow back from 8 years of the Great Dividers policies and the fact that no one wanted to see Pants Suit in the White House.

You and I could be friends IRL I totally agree. This is when the world went sideways. This exact moment. Then the division, then the hate anyone that doesn't belive what you do. "inclusiveness" gone especially if your christian (the devil) or republicans (super devil). Life has not been the same again.

Another poster who agrees with you both. We are simply deplorables who "cling to our guns and Bibles."

I'm the PP. I don't even own a gun. I just can't stand the identity politics of the modern day Democrats. It's toxic and ripping this country apart. Just please stop. I don't care what race, sex, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, etc a person is. MLKJr was spot on...it's about the content of one's character. And the other huge issue I have with the Dems is their push for socialist policies and the forced distribution of wealth. This should scare every single American. Capitalism is not perfect but it has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic system ever tried. It's not even close. I have no problem with entrepreneurs like Bezos or Musk becoming billionaires. Wish we had a million more like them. Just think of the sheer number of tax-paying jobs they have created both directly in their companies and the secondary and tertiary companies that came after, the innovations they helped pioneer, and the efficiencies they developed. Dems want to kill the golden goose with their excessive tax proposals and spending. Dems should get out of the way and remove barriers and unnecessary regulations and reduce the size of the government.

Well, brace yourself because Musk said that as cabinet member, that Americans "should brace for economic hardship." He says things will only be bad for a couple of years before they rebuild the economy from the bottom up. He has taken billions in federal contracts, but now that he's rich, he's going to ask you to suffer. Only for a couple of years.

You can read about it in NBC news, and then look at the comments of Trumpsters saying in the X post that they're ready to tighten their belts. I hope you are too! Egg prices will not be going down.

I’ll be just fine. Capitalism has been good to me as I made it work for me without the govt holding my hand. Thank you very much.

Haha. You sound like these lousy billionaires that made a goddamn Fortune in this country and now won't stand up to protect it. They are so afraid of trump. Pathetic.

Not a billionaire but I certainly pay my fair share of taxes unlike the bottom 50% of earners who pay almost nothing.

People that are successful and are able to earn a decent income are able to do that because of the advantages that come from living in this dynamic, safe Free country. Freedom isn't free. You want all of the advantages and none of the responsibilities like these pathetic billionaires.

Actually I served in the military so I think I took on my fair share of keeping our nation safe and free. And I’m also a successful business person and certainly pay my fair share of taxes. I’ll take capitalism any day over Dems socialist policies.

You are uninformed. Before 2016 Trump had never won an election if that’s your criteria. Harris had won her election to US Senator. That’s not an “internal California” race. You really shouldn’t embarrass yourself any further.

Or how people in extreme weather areas will be okay without the weather service. I'll probably be okay for now because I know how to look elsewhere for those resources--maybe follow some meteorologists on threads or something. I live in a strong community that cares about education, so I imagine my kids will be fine and our community will find a way to support their schools. But I do worry about the state of the country if basic programs we have come to rely on and take for granted are decimated--my being okay doesn't translate to a great lived experience if the majority of people are flailing. Also: if the R's win, will the system be rigged toward extreme maga for the rest of my life? And how is that supposed to be ok, when a functioning democracy has robust perspectives from all sides of the aisle? I ask from a childlike standpoint, as someone who truly aims to see valid points on both sides of an issue.

Are you an extreme antifa lib? How is the average American child ok with public education today under Biden? It’s a disaster. Indoctrination 101. And as far as the public education goes, why do almost all the Dem elites send their kids to private schools?

So, I’m seeing a lot of buzz words, but not getting a lot of information from this. I still want to try and understand my differences with others regarding their ideal vision for the future, but it feels hard to have a straightforward, non-emotional conversation about it.

I agree with some of this but draw the line at “bashing straight white males” because it’s not a thing. There were tens of thousands of white men at the rally. Plenty with women. A neighbor was with a group of men from work. Assume the wives were at home with kids on a school night.

Puhlease. The entire Dem platform runs entirely on the ID politics message of white male bad.

It is so toxic and divisive. And they shoot themselves in the foot alienating a voting block that is like 30+% of the entire country. You see it everywhere you go. Huge DEI pushes everywhere you go that end up promoting a whole bunch of people specifically because of their race or sexuality even though they're not qualified. Google already got caught red handed literally stating no white or Asian males allowed. It is all part of the democratic agenda that is so toxic.

And in the end the Dems' focus on DEI and ID issues solve no real problems americans face on a day to day basis. It just sows resentment, division, and toxicity.

When she loses - and she will - the Democratic Party will have a civil war. It’s not clear which side will win and that’s primarily because like the Republicans, the base has moved further away from the center and are also a huge fundraising source.

Do you know what was incredibly destructive to my family? Covid school closures. See your bolded above. That was widely supported by democrats both federal and local. And when I came on here to point out the stress it was putting on young families, I got contemptuous responses about how "school isn't child care."

Actually it is. Dual income families relied on having a safe place for their children to be educated and supervised while we worked, and that basic program was decimated

Voting for trump with a young family? I hope you have a very robust financial situation. It seems you don’t have enough money to hire a pod or nanny during Covid. Trump’s economy will be painful for you.
