I think the Obamas thought they’d be able to enjoy life outside of politics but the candidates the DNC handpicked for the past three election seasons were so incompetent at working a crowd and public speaking or drawing a crowd that the Obamas had to pick up the slack and go on the road to campaign on their behalf

Why would they do that if they think Kamala Harris is better for America than Donald Trump? I am sure the Bush family wouldn't have stepped quite so far away from the spotlight if they had a GOP candidate they could be proud of. They're not breaking a sweat to help Donald Trump who s*it all over the Bush Presidents' legacies...

Also, minor point that Bush was hideously unpopular when he left office and Obama was… not. Plus he’s having the time of his life out there. I know people who worked for him and they can tell.

I don’t know anyone who worked for him and I can still tell he’s having a great time. I know Mrs. Obama loathes politics, but you can tell that she probably enjoys doing a few rare political events like this, too, and she’s really good at it.

Barack enjoys it but he should’ve had that spark against the Republicans when he was in office. Now he’s Mr tough guy but back when he was in office, he was folding like a pretzel to work and accommodate obstructionist Republicans. His naïveté showed. He really thought he single-handedly could elevate the discourse in Washington and stop hyper partisan dysfunction by extending olive branch of friendship and cooperation. Boy was he wrong

Idk. I personally don't care about celebrity endorsements, they're more of a turn off (not interested in beyond wealthy people giving lessons) than anything. Healthcare and women's rights are my #1 issue so voted Harris because of it.
