I had an epiphany today: I don’t hate trump - I hate his supporters.

But then I realized his supporters aren’t going anywhere. They’re still going to be around regardless of whatever happens to him. And that infuriated me.

I just don’t know how to get past this. I’m just consumed with anger at the realization that probably should’ve occurred to me earlier, but didn’t. I was so consumed with hating trump that I wasn’t able to see who I truly should’ve been hating even more. And now realizing that these people will still be around after he goes away, it just ruins everything.

What I don’t understand is why all of a sudden we don’t ask questions of our candidates and demand answers. Inflation, soldiers need to come home, world relations with us, taxes, social security…. They were protesting because they're demanding the Democrats do their bidding re: Gaza. Even if Democrats don't kowtow to their demands 100%, these people will still be voting for them. What's their alternative?
