He's afraid of her. He knows she's smart. He knows she can think quickly and humiliate him. He didn't worry about that with Biden. Harris will be in control of that debate stage. |
Not only that but his attacks are tired and predictable. Too bad he honed his attacks for 3+ years on another guy. Must be tough to learn on the fly, Donald, amirite? |
Uhhh...you realize that Trump debated Biden literally a few weeks ago when Trump was not the GOP nominee yet, right? Was that "pretty arrogant" of him? Why is debating not-yet-but-presumptive-nominee Harris a problem all of a sudden when debating not-yet-but-presumptive-nominee Biden wasn't? It's literally the exact same situation, except Trump is terrified of debating Harris now, so he's grasping at straws to make up excuses that don't even make logical sense. |
Because the first 10-15 minutes was a disaster from an optics standpoint and the media as well as some key Dem insiders were relentless until last Sunday. |
Just wait til he ditches that beta, Vance. |
What are you talking about? She has received thousands of delegates. |
No, it isn't. Ohio needs the names for their ballot on Aug 7, so the dems are holding a virtual delegate count before then. |
Do you think Harris will do better than Hillary, who, after all, was a smart lawyer like Harris? |
DP. No, it isn't. She has the endorsements of anyone who matters within the party, she has the pledges of enough delegates to capture the nomination when it starts next week and she has been a fundraising titan since Sunday. |
I don't know. I think it will be tight due to the obvious prejudices of our populace. But I also think we all understand Trump and his games better. I don't know who will win, though I think Harris will be a better president ( I can't believe I even have to clarify that). |
The correct answer is Zero delegates. During the primaries, Biden won most of the delegates. These are legally bound to vote for him at the convention. Harris has received None. No legally bound. Al lane has is verbal commitments that they will vote for her at the convention, but this is not legally binding. They can switch to another candidate if they want at the convention. This could be case if her poll numbers dip or they decide someone else is strong to beat Trump. It’s unlikely, but possible. |
Yes, but mostly because Trump 2024 is much less coherent than Trump 2016. He has declined a lot in the last 8 years. |
Well I hope the people on this thread who pontificated about how Kamala wasn't going to be the nominee and how there was this big civil war and unrest and pretended to know everything going on inside the DNC and inside the White House citing Obama refusing to endorse her... those people who said all of that should be rightly embarrassed and ashamed because the Obamas endorsed her and everything you said was made-up BS. |
I think most Republicans will not vote for a smart woman of color, no matter what party. I think many of us will, but like the pp said, the race is going to be tighter than it should be, because a lot of independents may also be prejudiced against a woman and / or person of color. |
