No, that shtick never works. Just mercilessly mock him for being a sissy. Anyway, it's not REALLY a refusal to debate, it's a desperate attempt to convince people that the Democrats don't like Harris, when everyone has endorsed her, she's raising insane record setting amounts of money from the grassroots and she's polling extremely well. It's gaslighting, but it's so stupidly done it's coming across as cowardice because people think he really means this stuff. Obama is probably laughing hysterically—it's already been made clear he's holding his endorsement for the runup to the convention—it's being very carefully orchestrated. He's the most senior "statesman" in the party, aside from Biden, who has alrady endorsed, so he gets to give the final endorsement. But it's been given. |
