Email the clubs or coaches to see if you can join a practice. With Stars only consider Light Blue, also, from what I have heard the communication at Stars is non-existent if you reach out so you may not be able to actually check out Stars unless you know someone on the team.

Depending on where you live BLC should definitely be on your list. For someone that lives in McLean, Fairfax, Vienna, etc. it would likely be quicker to get to Bethesda than Alexandria where Stars will sometimes practice.

Run from Stars 2033. It's a mess.

2nd this, Stars 2033 is a mess.

Stars keep recycling the same old tired coaches.

While coaching can always improve that’s not the issue with Stars right now….

what is the issue with stars?

Also heard that Stars removed a bunch of players mid-season from their own team and replaced them with MC Elite players. It sounded like a super weird scenario which adds to the Stars problems.

You’ll meet parents of club players and can get a feel for what they think of the club teams your year. It’s probably too late for supplemental tryouts for most club teams but doesn’t hurt to reach out. If you could get on a club team at this point for just the spring and summer, that would also be a good way to try it.
We had an awful experience w/ stars and found them to be disorganized with close to no communication. SW is awful. She has her favorites and will always put them on thr light blue regardless of ability. If she’s not coaching your year, she’ll still try to interfere. My dd switched to Pride and is happy. Is her team amazing? No but it’s well organized, communication is great and she can stay there through high school as she doesn’t want to even try for the intensity of Capital.

Why are you wasting so much money and time if your daughter doesn't want to play good lacrosse and sounds like not as talented?

So if you’re not playing for Capital, you’re not playing good lacrosse? Not everyone is looking to play lacrosse in college. Maybe she plays for a club so she can be good on her HS varsity team. Also, what’s a lot of money for you may be inconsequential for this family.
