Has anyone gotten MCAP reports from 2023 testing?

Have any parents of current 6th graders gotten the results of last year's grade 5 MCAP English/Math and MISA tests?

How about this week? Any get the reports scores this week? Frankly embarrassed for MCPS at this point.

Still nothing for us.

"Are we there yet?"

At this point, I literally believe they do not intend to ever send them to families. I think the work it would take to send them electronically or in the mail is obviously not assigned to a person or a team and they’re just not going to distribute them.

It’s a real shame, because these tests are SO time consuming. They eat up essentially an entire week of instructional time. And there’s no benefit to that huge cost. Also concerning that these will count as a significant percentage of a student’s grade and the scoring/norming is very off base.

At this point they should just hand the sealed envelopes to the students and send them home old school. Forget postage, forget scanning them. They’re already outdated and you have the aggregated school performance data.

Haven't gotten it yet either but don't care since the test is still mostly worthless.

Most don't care about the test. But if they're going to have my kids sit for hours over many days for a "worthless" test, show us the results! If they can't show us the results, don't test out kid or give us the option to opt-out our kid to sit for hours over days for a "worthless" test.

Agreed. Students should not have to test! Also agreed it is embarrassing they can't get their shit together this late into the school year.

The state wants your kid to sit down for this test.

And some of them are included in your kid's grade.

And the school districts got results to send to families MONTHS ago. District has the results. Just mail them out to students' homes!!! Whatever department at MCPS Central Office that does the actual mailings needs help! But do you think Cram and associates will COMMUNICATE why results have still not been mailed to all families? Apologize for making students sit for hours for a test if there are no results! The school year is about to enter quarter 4 and students will be taking this year's tests in a month or some have already taken certain MCAP/MISA tests, yet students have not received last year's results! Despicable.

Time to file a lawsuit against MCPS for withholding results.

What does the teacher union say on this topic, if anything?
