Kangaroos are terrifying and no one is talking about it

I honestly suspect that they are trying to downplay the true, dark nature of kangaroos. The Aussie spin doctor came on here and made a point of advertising that they are seeking immigrants. People, they are trying to lure settlers to tame the jungle that surrounds their dense, huddled cities. Don't fall for it.

Truth - but to be fair, this Aussie is also very fond of American wildlife … even those rascally raccoons that get into our trash ….

In Australia - one domestic cat kills on average about 186 mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs a year, compared to the 748 that one feral cat can kill. However, because domestic cats are concentrated in suburbs, the total number of animals they kill per hectare is higher than the number that feral cats in the bush kill.

That said - I love cats and don’t like this war on Aussie cats - I wish they would just neuter them and put bells on them to give birds fair warning

Bells don't work--cats learn to walk without jingling them

Would putting bells on killer kangas help warn people and dogs they are nearby?

Putting bullets in them is a more effective solution than putting bells on them.

So glad we don't have kangaroos in the us. Ten feet tall, all muscle and likes to punch and drown dogs just running amuck? No thank you.

More kanga propaganda-- so pervasive it should probably be given its own portmanteau of kangaganda. This cartoon shows a sweet and dopey baby roo effortlessly resisting the cat's provocations.

This isn't what we're talking about. I'm talking about these kangaroos in the news-- these vacant eyed, muscle bound predators, on a thrill kill murder spree. Totally different.

This is the thread I needed

So does this apply to hippos as well? Are we safe to Kayak down African rivers and lakes infested with territorial male hippos since there are no hippo attacks in the NYC Central Park pond?

That's what the scientists say. Don't you believe in science?

I get so annoyed at these stupid statistics about how safe kangaroos are. Let's hear per encounter statistics.

Everyone in Australia lives in cities. Now talk to people who live near kangaroos

Stop trying to shift the topic to climate change. Climate change won't lessen the threat of psychopathic serial killer kangaroos. If anything, it will increase the threat, making this an even more urgent issue.

Kangaroos should be banned.

I’ve never been more thankful that Australia is an island.

I've been a few feet away from a enormous gator and I'd still be more afraid of a hopping, boxing, punching kangaroo. 🦘 They're terrifying.

The most effective treatments for phobias are: Exposure therapy. This therapy focuses on changing your response to the object or situation that you fear. Gradual, repeated exposure to the source of your specific phobia, and the related thoughts, feelings and sensations, may help you learn to manage your anxiety.Jun 9, 2023

I would suggest you try visiting the kanga petting zoo and gradually increase the length of time you spend with these magnificent creatures. Maybe start with the wallabies and work your way up to the red back Kangas.

Bring a note book. Why do these marvelous marsupials threaten you so much? Where does this misplaced terror come from? It is probably connected to bullying on the school bus in grade 5. Or something like that.

Dig deep and summons your inner kangaroo to fight back against your inner pain with fierce subversive defiance …
