Oops!! Didn't realize there might be a camera!

But he figured out how to remove the signs.

So his statement appears to have been a lie.

Everyone with a half functioning brain knew he was lying.
And, he will get a slap on the wrist for pulling the fire alarm and then lying about it.

Yes, when the only version of the story we knew was the falsified Republican version, it sounded indefensible. Once we understood the facts, we realized it was simply another case of Republicans lying and generating faux outrage.

Camera footage of him moving warning signs before pulling the fire alarm says otherwise.

It's funny that Democrats are refusing to acknowledge who was *actually* lying here. Especially in light of this video, which makes it crystal clear.

I'm a Democrat and if he did what it seems he did, he needs to be held accountable.

Now, do you idiots feel the same way about the many, many, many people who tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power in 2021?

Or is pulling fire alarms really more heinous than an attempted coup?

Why still “if he did what it seems he did”? The thing that is so disgusting about this is how painfully obvious his lie is, and always was. That we had to pretend to entertain the notion that this man who represents the government of the US accidentally pulled a fire alarm without realizing what would happen. It’s so absurd and it’s really upsetting that we’ve gone so far that we pretend to believe such an absurdity!

The benefit of the doubt shouldn’t be infinite.

Yep. Even in the face of very clear video evidence, we're still supposed to suspend disbelief that somehow, some way, he didn't mean to pull down the signs! And that it was just an accident that he very deliberately pulled the fire alarm! The gaslighting from the left is just so over-the-top. "Don't believe your lyin' eyes!"

Yes I know it’s in the same district as Yonkers but still - wild

He is truly an idiot

He’s been caught multiple times having the subject matter iq of boebert

He didn’t know what crimea and Donbas were for example but said he supported Ukraine aid

I live in his district. Trust me, Scarsdale and larchmont didn’t vote for him in the primary. Many of us hope with recent redistricting that he is successfully primaried next year.

You could have … uh voted for the Republican, a pediatrician and former mayor of Scarsdale.

It’s the door he normally uses to walk to the Capitol. He should be able to use it to go to the Capitol when the House was in session, even if it is a Saturday session needed because of the dysfunction of the Republican majority. It was stupid of the Capitol Police to block it and put temporary signs on the door. Pulling the alarm did not affect the vote. He was just trying to get the door to open.

Come on, it doesn’t matter that he should be able to use that particular door for whatever reason. (Have you been in the building? There are multiple other opportunities for egress.)
What matters is that he did it and then lied about it and people are still trying to believe him even though it’s patently clear that he just decided to pull the fire alarm! Why are we continuing to indulge this blatant lie? Just be honest! I don’t think he should go to jail or anything, but we can all acknowledge that he lied. Even that is too much to ask?

This from someone who probably thinks J6 was no big deal.
