Defending Bowman in fire alarm incident

MAGA outrage de jour. Maybe you all should do something about the sex offender from CO and the indicted fraudster from NY state before you criticize others.

I guess he can't read either?

Of things that transpired in Congress last week, this one is really not registering to me as especially significant or embarrassing by comparison.

There is something dumber. Claiming that pulling an alarm in the Cannon House Office Building is an attempt to stop a vote in the Capitol Building that you support.

Even dumber...claiming this is a felony while ignoring the GOP coup.

This is definitely interfering an official proceeding. Considering that he is a senator who should know better. I wonder how many years he will get.

But I was told nobody would be making excuses for bowman

Yes, when the only version of the story we knew was the falsified Republican version, it sounded indefensible. Once we understood the facts, we realized it was simply another case of Republicans lying and generating faux outrage.

Not sure why you’re considering he’s a senator when he isn’t. He is a House rep.

What “falsified version?”
Did he pull the alarm? Yes.
Did he give a lame excuse? Yes.
He was a school principal. Of all people, he should be aware of the purpose and function of a fire alarm. And he should be able to read the signs at the door.

Ignoring the GOP coup? You can't be serious. DOJ has devoted an insane amount of time and resources investigating and prosecuting actions on 1/6, filing charges against damn near anyone they can show was trespassing. I have no sympathy for those being prosecuted (actions should have consequences), but let's be honest, Bowman intended to disrupt and delay a Congressional proceeding. If you believe that nonsense excuse of his, I've got a bridge to sell you. He should absolutely be held accountable, just like those who sought to disrupt and delay on 1/6.
