| Straight R. Always have, always will. |
I'm with you here except I'll vote to re-elect Herrity. I don't see any benefit in having an all-Dem board. It's not like Herrity can stop anything with his one vote but he serves as a good dissenting voice at times and we need that. |
|
Herrity and Tisler have my votes. I find Dan Helmer to be narcissistic and insufferable. He's desperate to run for higher office and obviously has a super-inflated ego. Remember he initially tried to run against Comstock in 2018 and lost the primary in a landslide against Wexton.
He took that seat in the GA as a consolation prize and has been trying to find a way out since. |
| Straight DEM except for Pat Herrity and Debra Tisler. County board is idiotic and needs new people. |
|
If Republicans had more seats on the Fairfax board I'd vote against Herrity but I have no motivation to vote against him since he's the only Republican on the board.
He doesn't stop the Dems from passing anything but having an echo-chamber on the board just seems counterproductive. |

Prince William here. Live in Gainesville.
We are dealing with a data center issue out here and the Dems on the board are pushing hard for it. I think Jeanine Lawson can be a lil too conservative at times but I know she'll stop the data centers from destroying the few remaining rural areas in NoVA. Watching Ann Wheeler lose the primary was probably the most satisfying thing I've seen in a very long time. Bob Weir is my supervisor and he is amazing. Committed environmentalist who has fought data center development tooth and nail. He has my vote. I believe our incumbent school board rep in an R and I'll vote for her too. I consider myself a right-leaning indie although I havent voted R for president since 2012. |

Western Loudoun here.
Supervisor: Caleb Kershner-R Board Chair: Gary Katz-R (Phyllis Randall is CORRUPT!) SB: Kari LaBell-R SB At-Large: Michael Rivera-R Sheriff: Mike Chapman-R Delegate: Geary Higgins-R State Sen: Juan Pablo Segura-R My area is conservative and most of my neighbors will vote the same way as me. Precinct was 63% Youngkin, 37% McAuliffe. |
Phyllis Randall only has the job due to pure luck. R's split the field in 2015 and she won with just 37% of the vote! I really hope she gets canned this election. Her abuse of taxpayer funds is insane! |
Well that's total bs! |
| Straight “R”, the pendulum has swung way too far to the left. Time for a reset. |
Will be very interesting to see how Randall does in this election. The timing of her boondoggle to Ghana couldn't have been worse. |
I guess you don't own a house in Fairfax county or have not noticed how much real estate taxes have exploded upward with this clueless, useless board. Herrity is the only voice of reason especially economically. |

I agree about Helmer. He’s only looking out for himself.
As much as I think the SB needs to be shaken up, I can’t vote for Debra Tisler. She was endorsed by Moms for Liberty, an endorsement that she recently removed from her website. She also comes across as benign in person, but there are a lot of subversive policies behind that bland demeanor. I’m willing to vote for Saundra Davis for At-Large to provide some opposing viewpoints. And Pat Herrity? I’m over his bullshit. I don’t even know if he lives in Springfield District anymore. Supposedly his wife threw him out after a multi-year affair. It’s no secret around town. I’m so sick of politicians and their massive egos. |
Loudoun D's will definitely underperform, will it be enough for Republicans to flip the board? We shall see |
|
My predictions:
Fairfax County: Dems maintain supermajority on the board, although they lose 1-3 seats on the school board. Stella Pekarsky underperforms but still wins somewhat easily. She has SB baggage weighing her down. I think Saundra Davis and Debra Tisler will be the seats R's gain on the SB. MAYBE Dranesville surprises us by electing an R SB member or board member, highly doubt it though. Braddock school board seat is the sleeper pick for R's, I really doubt it though. Sizemore was a somewhat more reasonable person on the school board but is still associated with that so I could see the R candidate overperforming. Loudoun: True tossup with a wide range of outcomes. R's do very well, flip the CA's office, SB, and BoS. D's do very well and hold on to everything. Legit unpredictable and no one is truly talking about it. Prince William: Western part of the county will be great for R's due to data center issue, eastern part will be good for D's. |
