Should we email them to voice concerns about just one night for BTSN? |
Don’t understand why can’t school just do zoom session for BTSN or just load video on schoology for parents to watch. |
Hopefully the new principal will repair the issues 2ith AAP that the previous principal fostered. |
I like a real visit to the school myself. But we can’t have the whole school come on one night. It’s going to be a sh*t show. |
Don’t they just do it all the other schools to? Back to school night is from 6-8 and the teachers do 2 1-hour sessions. The parents can go to one session for the younger and one session from the older. |
Withdrawing my application to sub @ Navy ES.
Found this thread to gain insight and decided accordingly that I’m not a good fit! |
I wouldn't let the people on this thread discourage you from subbing at Navy. Its honestly a great school with a lot of parent support and great students. Yes some parents are intense, but I think you find that anywhere at FCPS honestly. |
One day subs don’t even deal with parents. Just don’t teach full time at Navy and you’ll be fine. |
No you actually don’t. Not at Title 1 schools. |
The vast majority of schools have BTSN on the same night, they just have each teacher give their presentation twice. It's hard to ask parents who work at night to take two nights off if they have children in different grades. Oh wait, Navy doesn't have any parents who work night shifts so they wouldn't even think about that. Check your privilege, ladies. |
That's how most schools do it, I don't know why you're complaining. You WANT to pay for a sitter two nights in a row? |
What are you talking about? We never get a sitter for BTSN. One of us stays home with the kids. Both parents so not need to be there. LOL. |
So if we have two kids in different grades, can we just plan to have one parent attend BTSN because each teacher will give two presentations? Last year my youngest was in K so there was no conflict. They had a traditional BTSN while my oldest had it the same day as open house. |
Yes, only one parent needs to go. Both is overkill. |
Oh right your husband is far too important to care about the children's schooling. That's mommy's job. Excuse me for having a spouse that cares about our children's education equally. |
