With Biden having decided he's going to run for another term, the Democrats basically lost their opportunity to support a young politician (whether that was Buttigieg or otherwise) for eight years back in 2019-2020. Honestly, Biden has been better than I expected. A much more deft politician than I anticipated and governed further to the left than any President since probably Carter. Maybe LBJ.

It's not just Gen Z fixated on Trump. It's a lot of us who are shocked and appalled about how the party that previously only demanded we all believe in flat earths and creationism and taking away women's rights and healthcare for as many people as possibly, could have become even more stupid and cruel. We've seen how bad it can get. Stop the bleeding, then you can work on everything else.

The uncle Joe bit was a facade and a thin one at that. He isn’t particularly nice to the press and has a history of being kind of an elitist jerk. He went to an elite high school. He has definitely enriched himself and his entire family by currying favor with unsavory people like the Chinese. And so yes, I 100% believe he was a total jerk to Hillary. He is a jerk with an Aw shucks facade that is a total load of bs.

Just because people may support Joe in the election doesn’t mean he will have won over the hearts and minds of independents who are the largest voting block. Sorry but Independents are not the largest voting block. Moderate Dems maybe, but they won't vote for Trump over Biden. You I's think you are bigger than you are. YOu know WHO will be the biggest voting block in 2024 - Women who want to have a say on what we can do with our bodies and Gen Z. And they sure's heck ain't voting for a GOP.

"Independents" end up being fairly predictable on an individual level in terms of whether they vote Republican or Democrat. The main question is whether they bother to vote at all. There aren't a lot of them who go to the polls consistently but swing between R, D, or third party.
