I thought that language evolves?

Through propaganda??

Do you mean to say that if liberals decided to make the term conservative mean that someone is a worshipper of Satan you’d go along with it? Do you accept the new meaning of the word santorum? I do not but if you are saying that white conservative misuse of a term invented by African Americans means that language evolves, well you have to accept it in the other direction.

That was the standard reply when dictionaries updated the definitions of words to reflect current usage like "vaccine".

NP - What are you talking about? I know youre looking for conspiracies here but there’s no current usage of vaccine that’s different from previous uses. It’s always meant an injection to prevent disease

Shes referring to Merriam-Webster tweaking the definition of vaccine to reflect RNA technology….which is new technology and that’s why they added the definition. Even Bethany isn’t this crazy and conspiratorial.

I googled “vaccine definition” and this is the first result:

A substance used to stimulate immunity to a particular infectious disease or pathogen, typically prepared from an inactivated or weakened form of the causative agent or from its constituents or products.

How is this some kind of new definition?

Try harder. Why is it such a controversial thing to say that dictionaries update definitions all the time? I thought this was common knowledge.

Hell, irregardless even became a real word because of its usage.

Correct, language does change and they update definitions all the time. Not arguing with you on that. Just wondering how the definition of vaccine has changed. Stop deflecting

RNA technology is absolutely not new. Not at all. Developed in the 60s, well in use by the 90s. People not in biomedical engineering wouldn't have any reference to what it is or the understanding of it. In fact, in the early days of Covid, well before vaccines were a thing, those in research already knew how these vaccines would be developed.

Sadly, I have been deprived of her Twitter takes. She blocked me after the last go-round with DCUM.

Aw, too bad, she’s such a lovely person.

Hahahahaha. Ken Klippenstein annoys the shit out of me but his retweets of all her tweets bragging about yelling at service workers and screaming at people until they agree to fire someone who offended her are making me laugh

Me too but his retweet of her taking her mom off life support like it was a gotcha is dumb and only gives her more material for her martyr fest. Bethany since we know you read here: Ken is dumb and we all know you didn’t kill your mom. Also you foul for screaming at service people that frequently. Didn’t you grow up in a trailer park? You’re more like the WMATA employees and grocery store cashiers than you think.

That’s the CDC. Not dictionaries. You stated that dictionaries changed the definition and now are trying to pass the CDC’s definition off as a dictionary definition.

Sorry. You ARE foul. Forgot a word. I know you would just love to call me an idiot for that.

Did you even read? It literally references a dictionary in the article.

Done with you, lazy.
