I'll be at work, so I'll be using the computer

Lowell said in their email that packages will arrive for accepted students today via USPS. Our Informed Delivery shows nothing but the typical bills and solicitations. So...kid is not in, I guess?

Informed delivery does not always pick up all packages. Folks on other threads said they got packages (last year) that never showed on Informed Delivery.

I've read in posts that "swag" arrived at 8:30 am (not by USPS) for acceptances? Anyone here get an 8:30 am delivery???

Smart move.

I have heard many schools use Fed Ex or UPS.

Not ridiculous at all--- who wants to talk about "work widgets" at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday when your child's future is at stake?!!! Good luck to you.

Some argue the best teachers are at the publics because they pay MUCH more.

Yeah- but the private school jobs are generally much cushier.

I'm not sure about Fed Ex, but you can get notifications for incoming UPS packages. When I send my sister a surprise via UPS, she always gets a notification that she has a delivery coming.

Mail just came and nothing from Lowell. So kid is not in or mail in DC sucks. Or both?

Mail in DC does suck. Don't give up hope until 4.

That is a terrible system! Depending on USPS for no delays, people getting a thumbs up or down based on their mail carrier - what would make them broadcast that to their applicants?

That's not what the email said. It says that accepted students will receive an acceptance package via USPS, but it doesn't say that the package will be delivered today.
