Another suicide by cop by a drug addict. |
That's sound advice for EVERYONE. |
This. This. This. |
I have no idea as was not me Everything is a matter of degree and black people are much more likely to die unnecessarily at the hands of police . You are not serving the police well by white washing the obvious problems that require evidence based solutions and training. |
These problems took a very long time to form and will not go away over night but we need to keep trying |
You know what is a HUGE risk factor for sudden cardiac death in youth people?
COCAINE USE. It's been studied for YEARS. Here's a study (that popped up the minute i googled 'cocaine and sudden cardiac death" that found that sudden death can follow at a time "distant from ingestion". Summary of the findings: "Cocaine may induce totally unexpected cardiotoxicity in young individuals at some time distant from the cocaine ingestion. Commonly, such individuals are asymptomatic for coronary artery disease; some have no demonstrable coronary artery disease even after the cardiac event. Those who use cocaine must be considered at risk of cardiotoxicity at any time after recent cocaine ingestion." https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2681611/ |
Or it was the cocaine he was high on that caused cardiac arrest. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6387265/ |
I think most people that don’t snort coke, smoke weed (probably laced with something) and hop into a car can assume they won’t become paranoid, cause an accident, and try to run out into traffic…thus resulting in their death at the hands of police. |
Has anyone explained why he was in L.A. this week if he’s a teacher? I assume school was in session? |
For those with ears to hear … complex problems grown over long time require evidence based approaches to correct. |

- 1,000,000 Speak for yourself not “everyone” Many people disagree with this nonsense that the police response was appropriate and professional. It was not. Six police officers tasering an unarmed terrified man repeatedly after he stopped resisting arrest was not appropriate. You think differently but you don’t speak for everyone. |
May Keenan not die in vain, may his death be a catalyst for better and longer police training . |
How would you have handled the situation? |
By not tasering the man to death. |
