This doesn't apply to Capital of course. The 27 team will give a good indication if moving in prep for Capital is necessary or not. |
I'd definitely take the under on that one. |

I'll take the under as well. This is bizarrely consistent theme on these boards: when will Pride girls tryout for Stars? Better try out now or it will be too late. A Pride/Stars combination is the only way to make a DMV team competitive with the Big 5 in Maryland. You have a much better chance to make Capital from Stars... And on and on. Look, the great merger, or a mass exodus of strong players from Pride to Stars probably isn't going to happen. Why would players/families leave the more successful team, where they could choose to stay through high school if they don't make Capital, for the unproven concept that they are more likely to make Capital if you are on the Stars '28 team? Even if there is crossover on the coaching, the assumption that you are better off at Stars implies that the CLC coaches and tryouts aren't objective, and that the CLC coaches ignore what they see at clinics and in head to head play. That they don't want the best talent, only loyal Stars talent. I don't buy it. From what I've seen from CLC coaches and administration, as well as prior year selections, it looks like they approach the process very professionally, and are trying to field the best team in each class from the DMV area. Safer bet, it would seem, is to stay on your successful team and put your best foot forward in Capital tryouts when the time comes, knowing you maintain a good option for high school with your home club. |
What in God's Green Earth is going on with KM and 27s !? I have never seen such dysfunction. First with the way the 2025 group was treated--verbally abused and embarrassed herself with unconcionable sideline behavior...and use of foul language towards opposing coaches in game, .... and now this disaster with 2027s? https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/255/1084567.page Why the heck would one stay with a club like that? What a disaster. Can't wait to see the screenshot shared, that was quickly taken down by KM. There are other clubs. That's 100% your choice. But to stay with a club that treats people like that... I dunno. I am of the thought that in order to be successful, you should surround yourself with good people and who share the same values. If it looks like a rat, and smells like a rat, then it.... oh, nevermind. Good luck. |
| KM didn’t take it down. The admin. of this forum supposedly did. |
Some people do not like KM. Everyone knows that. Most Pride parents never interact with KM and have no problem with her. Most Pride girls see her occasionally and, as far as I can tell, respond well to her coaching. Whatever happened on the Loudon 2027 team, which certainly seems to have been a personnel matter, has no impact on the 2028 girls or parents. The prior poster's thoughtful analysis of why the 2028 Pride girls would not leave at this point is correct. |
| That make be the case but you never, ever call specific parents or players by name on this forum. Don’t care anyones argument against that, these are human beings and young girls. That is a a horrible look for an owner/director of a program to come on to a forum to call out specific people. That’s the issue alot of parents are having. |
Great point. He'll, why doesn't Pride 2028s just stay together all the way through Junior year of high school? Serious question. And... go! |
2028 Pride parents without a KM axe to grind are not having an issue with something that was allegedly posted on a dcum lacrosse forum because that would be silly. |
| Jesus. I get your loyalties but you can’t even acknowledge the fact that was done was not appropriate. This has nothing to do with 2028s or a club vs club discussion. If your child was called out to this PP on this forum or your wife or husband would you not be upset and have ask some questions? That’s what parents are asking. F lacrosse. This is not about that. It’s about the character of a supposedly leader of young women. But you keep diverting the argument. |
As you note, this has nothing to do with 2028s, club v club, or lacrosse... It's unclear why some posters want to bring a Loudon 2027s issue to this page, and use it as a bludgeon to question why anyone would play on the Pride 2028s NOVA. Doesn't make a ton of sense. A lot of families are happy with their experience at Pride. With respect, if the alleged conduct occurred, it would be inappropriate. And if it was directed at my child, I would handle it directly, not complain anonymously about it on a message board. If a poster wants to malign someone's reputation and character, they should do it while putting their name under the comments and owning it. |
DCUM is an anonymous forum full of lies. I did not see the post or know for sure KM wrote it if it does exist, so I am not going to get too worked up over it. Believing everything you read on this website is not wise. |
How dare you. I heard that on some other board someone said that all of the best Pride 2028 players are moving over to Stars the Monday after Easter. That is the truth! |
