Have the exact same thoughts about entitled parents/kids. Now you know how the public feels and views you.

Children are human beings. Dogs are not. You have to be joking.

This pro-dog agenda is very weird.

And it makes them look very bad when they say such stupidity

Please leave your dogs at home. I don't want to see touch or interact with them

Stay home yourself then.

Not PP but no I will not. And I have complained to managers and had many selfish dog owners removed from restaurants when they try to come in with their "cute" barking chihuahua. It's selfish, uncivilized, and not okay. And I love seeing the dog owners humiliatingly have to trudge out

I seriously doubt this. You may be a big swinging dick on the internet, but no way you've sent home "many" dog owners.

Whether you doubt it or not is relevant to absolutely nothing. Keep taking your dalmation out to restaurants and see what happens.

My dog dines out with me about once a week and we have never been asked to leave. So yes, I will keep taking him to restaurants, even more now that I know it pisses off miserable harridans such as yourself.

Great, hope and pray you dont run into me, lol. I bet you look dishevelled and the staff would be thrilled to remove a nutcase like yourself

The only one who seems insane here is you.

Coming from someone who's probably covered in dog hair and smells, I'll take your opinion with a grain of salt.

My dog is a good boy in the right settings, but he is not a good boy when surrounded by food he can easily reach (tall dog), so I wouldn’t let him near a food display.

To clarify: my problem with dogs in restaurants and grocery stores isn’t that they’ll steal food (like my dog would). It’s that I think that’s unhygienic.

No, as you describe it, your problem is with untrained dogs, of which yours is one. Not everyone is as lazy a pet owner as you. Some of us have well-behaved dogs.

All the training in the world doesn’t make your dog hygienic enough to be in establishments that sell food. I was very clear that that’s why I don’t want dogs there.

No, it wasn't at all clear. You had to post a second time to clarify. Your original post was about bad behavior. You just added hygiene issues because you realized you look a fool, complaining about poorly behaved dogs when you admit you have one yourself.

People complain to the dog owners...take it up with these corporations. see how much they care about your opinion on dogs. Allowing dogs will provide a much better revenue stream than banning them.

I have a small dog who is well behaved. If I am out running errands I may need to make a quick stop somewhere. If they allow dogs, I am buying something. If they don't..I move on.

The anti-dog group here will never win..so deal with it. I deal with screaming children at a michelin restaurant..you can deal with dogs at home depot

Actually, more and more stores are banning dogs than before. I think people have had it

Show your receipts. Name the precise stores.

"Many?" Seriously? Where do you live where all of the restaurants are full of chihuahuas?

You sound like the Wicked Which of the West: "I'll get you, my pretty! And you're little dog too!"

Hmmm, it seems critical thinking isn't your strong suit since that was an obvious example and not a literal description of each dog. (Duh). Your thinking skills are as poor as your awareness of social cues and consideration for others

No, I think you're exaggerating. Plain and simple. You have not had "many selfish dog owners removed from restaurants." You're full of it.

I have. And I love doing it. And I can say a lot of restaurants are getting sick of it too and are eager to have a customer complain so they can have an excuse to have the trashy dog owner removed

This makes me WANT to bring my dog to dinner, so some dolt like you can complain, and I’ll be asked to leave and not need to pay for dinner

OMG, we'll both love it! Start heading out around DC and hopefully we can run into each other. Trust me, it will be MY PLEASURE!

People, stop engaging with this person. They are actually mentally ill and it's not a good idea to feed their fixation.

Exactly how many families with dogs do you know falling sick with dog illnesses? Doggie super spreader events? Really?

Not angry, just bemused by your pointless rage against dogs in public spaces.

It's not pointless. Dogs are a nuisance and selfish dog owners are starting to get checked across the board. And I love it!

I'm glad you love the status quo! Seems like we are both happy because my dog has never been kicked off a patio or out of a store that doesn't have a no-dog policy. He does get asked quite frequently for a picture for Instagram likes and to let me more know their business is dog-friendly.

My friend worked at a craft store where they allowed dogs, them some customer's dog unprovoked bit a staff member, then the owner threatened to sue the store (the staff member had to go to the ER for a.whole bunch of stitches and reported she'd been bitten by a dog, so animal control got involved). Whole thing was a giant crazy mess.

The thing is, in my experience, that's the kind of person who brings their dog everywhere. The person who can't read when their dog is stressed and pushes the dog into snapping.

For now he hasn't... that will change quite soon. And thanks for confirming you do it to get attention. My guess is youre quite ugly and could never turn heads unless you have some kind of prop like a dog? How sad for you.

Exactly. These dog owners who feel the need to bring their dog everywhere are usually mentally off, lonely types relying on the dog for both companionship and the attention it garners from others. Theyre mostly horribly neglectful, clueless owners unaware of their dogs emotional state

Your dog is not a human, and it's racist for you to be comparing races to dogs.
