The difference is they aren’t American. You eventually have to have some sort of standard for taking care of people or you end up with no standards. How is an American child any different than a mexican child? What about a poor Israeli child? Do you have any idea how much open borders would destroy this country? All of a sudden YOUR child would have less to eat. Then you’d understand why the priority needs to be Americans and why borders matter. |

It’s happening in all of the cities that have gentrified over the past twenty years or so. The homeless, mentally ill and addicted have always lived here but they used to live in boarding houses, cheap motels, mental institutions and vacant homes. Those options don’t exist anymore. |
