Union Station Starbucks Closing

Who are they? Who is legally responsible to keep it clean and safe? Would someone sue them for not doing their job? This is unacceptable? Train station isn't a place for refugees, homeless, mentally ill and druggies. Send everyone to where they can be helped. Make it safe so travelers can travel, businesses can earn, dinners can ear, shoppers can shop. Add a gym , a dry cleaner, a grocery store, a barber, an express food takeout shop, a breakfast box to go place, things related to travel.

Is there a tent city outside of Union Station still? I recall eating downstairs in the food court-like area snd being asked for food snd money five times over 15 minutes. It always smells of urine. Otherwise, it’s great.

Why are they bringing refugees and migrants to a city where they can't help their own residents. Why not send newcomers to wealthy suburbs?

Yes about 1/3 of the stores are gone and many seats are gone but I saw no homeless people. Felt totally safe. Long line at Starbucks and other food places were busy. I use it as a cool spot to get steps in the summer and will continue to.

Same here … I work nearby and take the metro most days … and often grab lunch there. Not sure what the snowflakes are concerned about.

Grab lunch there? Ugh.

Hmmm I wonder if anyone has considered enforcing immigration laws.

Exactly. Doesn’t Potomac have tons of unused acreage? And bleeding heart Libs who would be happy to find some decent housing for immigrants?

I was pleasantly surprised that there was no tent city and only saw one person eating out of the food court garbages. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I usd to take the train a lot about 12 years ago. It seems much quieter now.

How do you enforce a law when the bus , sent by a governor, arrives at 1am with women and small children who haven't eaten for two days. It's despicable. 3,400 people since May.

I believe the pp was referring to prior to them arriving at the governor's state. As in why should that state have to handle all the costs?

Just because suite people are scared little b****** doesn’t mean there is a problem.

Wake up. There are countless vagrants, addicts and violent criminals loitering around union station all day long.
