I did nothing wrong. I WAS wronged.

Why do you defend these idiots?

I grew up without my siblings and cousins, aunts and uncles.

You were not wronged. In fact you were helped. You grew up with what you grew up with. Nothing was taken from you.

You need to get over this victim mentality. You live the life you are dealt. Deal with it.

This is not OP, but I gotta ask you this.. how did you come to the conclusion that nothing was taken from her?

Her MOTHER was taken from her. Her MOTHER. And this child was taken from the MOTHER.

Are you the beagle poster, you know, the one supporting the Catholic mom who kept having kids but could afford them so she gave a bunch away, like a dog? And, somehow that was just fine? Are you that poster? Good Lord.

NP. I agree that the PP above you and the beagle poster are horrifying. They speak of parent-child relationships as if the child was a puppy who was rescued. It is abjectly horrifying.

And there are several here, but one who is rather relentless. You hit it on the nail regarding the total lack of understanding regarding adoption.

But it's so entertaining disparaging them -- thinking - hoping even - that they are listening in. It's almost like being back in junior high.

We already know you’re a troll.

Details don’t make sense, then tying made up story to current Roe vs Wade drama.

Some people have too much time on their hands.

I don’t know if OP is a troll, but there have been a string of recent threads along the lines of “the church abused me.” And moderation in this forum is practically non-existent. It’s hard not to wonder whether this is the “Christians answer me this” poster, or another bigot type, with a new line of attack.

Should add, these recent posts have in common the immaturity of the OP, confusion about details, and the OP’s refusal to listen to any advice which, conveniently, keeps the thread going.

meaning the moderator doesn't automatically defend Christian ideology. Disagreements about religion are not automatically from bigots with a line of attack. People have been disagreeing about religion for eons. That's why there are so many religions and so many sects within the same religion.

No, the moderator has said he rarely visits this forum. And lots of us don’t want to go running to him over every little thing.

Are you the poster who keeps claiming that all atheists do here is gently challenge Christianity (always Christianity)? Because that’s BS and you know it, some of you are on the warpath 24/7 and others are trolls.

A modest suggestion. Maybe if the atheists here behaved better—disagreed respectfully, not with spittle drooling from their mouths, not with frequent exaggerations and outright deception—people wouldn’t be suspicious of threads like this one.

Same can be said of the rabidly anti-atheist religious posters.

You’re missing the point. Nobody is accusing people of faith of trolling, just you atheists. That’s because people of faiths’ bad behavior—and I agree there’s some bad behavior—is generally limited to responding to atheists’ constant provocations. In other words, you can totally predict when a person of faith is going to get angry and behave badly, and that’s when you provoke them. You atheists, on the other hand, continually amaze us with innovative bigotry, insults dumb stereotypes, childish provocations, and trolling.

Probably just about anyone, irrespective of religious preference, can tell that pp is not very nice.

Just realistic, calling it as it is.

OP they did you a favor. If you stayed very likely you too would be indoctrinated into that life or on the street.

There is no spittle drooling online. Only in the active imagination of the above poster.

You make a good point, and it's one that I've thought about.

I doubt I would have fallen for it though. I am a practicing Christian, go to church regularly, Bible studies, etc. I don't recognize the kind of hate that comes out of the Southern Baptist Church.
