Makes no sense to do this given the volatility this program incites from the parental population. Only adds fuel to the fire when this process is not standardized. School administrations don't usually disregard Gatehouse rules. If Lemon Road received scores (and that isn't a troll), all schools will get it today. Or at a minimum, if you ask your school, you'll now be told when to expect it. LR has approx 600 students, give or take. Other schools have 1000+ kids. But you'll know if it is now expected to arrive within the week. Otherwise assume the Lemon Road posting is also a troll. On a board the size of this, there are no "one offs".

Have you had kids in FCPS long? Because they do random stuff on a school by school basis all. the. time.

They do, definitely. But when it comes to the AAP program, those random decisions usually don't go down well.

They also do things that don't go down well all the time. O days anyone?

Just got confirmation from my AART that all the pool notifications were sent. So if you didn't get an email, not in the pool.

Speaking of that... it's an O day so some schools might hold them to send home with kids tomorrow instead. Each school seems to be treating the O days differently.

Verbal: 132/9/98
Quantitative: 142/9/99
Non-Verbal: 131/9/97

Composite(VQN): 142/9/99

I wish he score a little bit more in Non-verbal. Got the pool email, fingers crossed. I just hope he gets in.

I'm always confused by this. How does a 132 + 142 + 131 = a composite score of 142?

It's based on how likely the full distribution of scores is, not an average of the scores. I believe high scores in all categories can sometimes even lead to a composite that's higher than any subsection.

Correct. My oldest had something like 130/141/139 and the composite was 143. I don’t remember the exact sub scores except that I know the highest was Q at 141.

Got a school email saying Cogat scores are coming in backpack today. DD hasn’t come home yet, so can’t verify.

We got ours today in my daughter’s backpack. We are Oakton Pyramid. She scored a 138 composite but we didn’t get an in pool email. Could the cut off this year been higher than 132?

It's very difficult to believe that this score wouldn't be in-pool. Something else must be going on. Maybe they only sent out the in-pool letters for those schools with a local norm that's lower than 132?
