I’d be more concerned that the boyfriend is taking no responsibility regarding birth control. Condoms break but they also protect you from disease. Your daughter needs to be educated about birth control and how irreversible a serious or deadly STD can be. This would be my main concern.

Many STDs are incurable such as Genital herpes and AIDS.

Another good protection from STDs is monogamy, presumably they are aware of condoms and are foregoing them for recreational purposes. I think your focus should be on getting the daughter some form of birth control that isn't as user dependent
