Also, to clarify, these books are in some of the high school libraries, but they aren't being used a teaching material in class? That's a pretty big difference to me.

The other book pulled for review is Gender Queer (a graphic novel). Correct, they are available in a handful of high school/secondary libraries, not being used (to my knowledge) in a classroom.

The books should be required reading for the book banning parents. Maybe they’d actually learn something about human development and relationships. Since many are clearly lacking.

Or maybe they’d prefer not to have their money spent on books that normalize sexual activity involving 4th graders, you delusional, pretentious cretin.

Exploring bodies is a normal, healthy thing for kids.

Didn’t you “play doctor” when you were a kid?

Maybe not. That might explain why you’re so screwed up now…

The pro pedophilia poster has been triggered.

If it was cis pedo would fcps ban it?

Never would have even made the shelves. The only reason these made the shelves was under the guise of being inclusive to lgbtq. They need to find a gay friendly book without pedophilia. I’m sure there are a few out there.

THERE
IS
NO
PEDOPHILIA,
DUMBA$$

Just because you continue to say this doesn’t make it true.

It is absolutely true, you illiterate nitwit.

You obviously didn’t read it. Or didn’t understand it.

Not PP (or the poster posting all that angry red stuff), nor should I really respond to someone using this kind of language, but you really should probably read the book before you spout all of this. The book in no way normalizes the behavior. But as this in an anonymous message board and you clearly just want to call people names, I can pretty much guarantee you won't actually read the book.

No. "They" didn't ban Dr. Seuss, you fcking moron.

That was Loudoun.

Fcps just quietly removed Dr. Seuss day, hoping no one would notice.

That’s not what happened. Stop reading Daily Wire.

Anonymous wrote:Books at fcps high schools promoting pedophilia and pornography, true?

Can anyone verify if this is true?

That is UNTRUE. Asra Nomani is pushing LIES because she’s gunning for a job a Newsmax.

But why not just go through the challenge process that's already in place?

Because they heard about it on right wing sites and wanted to make a viral splash and bring backlash to FCPS, not just remove a book. And they succeeded considering a PP’s daily mailer link.

Exactly.

This is the GOP astroturfing at work.

Hacks like Asra pushing these non issues.

The SB Mom has a degree in acting and previously listed herself as a "screenwriter" on her linkedin page. Wonder if she can get an IMDB credit for this performance?

Every parent has the right to opt out of books for their kods but the nuts at tonight’s school board meeting want to pray and ban books. The latest idiot wouldn’t stop talking when her time was up and made the Board have to recess. No rules for these sheep. Where did these backwards folks come from?

Looks like Parents Defending Education (full of Koch associates and Trumphumpers) is all over this manufactured "issue":

https://twitter.com/AsraNomani

The GOP / Koch organizations are forcing these "issues" by sending in professional organizers to local “grassroots” parent groups.

For example, Parents Defending Education is full of Koch associates and Trumphumpers:

https://ij.org/staff/rachel-hannabass/

Trump appointees:

Aimee Viana

Nomani is a Trumphumper too:

These are the people astroturfing and pushing these non-issues in our community.

There is no pedophilia and this is not pornography.

No one who actually read these books would say that.

STOP PUSHING MISINFORMATION.

Wow. NOVA is really turning into Alabama faster than expected. Loudon and now Fairfax are just so far to the right now. Like the ultra-conservative nut-job right.
