It seems clear that CC is realizing you cannot build a winning team by picking up second-rate players from clubs like Great Falls. We are no longer in the DA days when top talent naturally gravitated toward certain programs. Local clubs have overextended themselves by moving to MLS Next for boys and oversaturating the GA model.

Players currently being discarded from TSJ are seeking other options, though many were not top-tier to begin with. As other clubs pick them up, teams will consolidate, with NVA likely emerging as the winner. LS and VRSC will also pick up a few players; in fact, VRSC has already brought in some solid players from SYC.

I expect the Champions League to move to NVA within two years. While VRSC and NC teams will likely remain only moderately competitive due to losing players to ECNL clubs, it is evident that D1 schools primarily recruit from the ECNL. Interestingly, an insider mentioned that more D1 recruits are coming out of VRSC, NVA, and LS, which is quite surprising.

Another dismal showcase result. All other GA coaches removed. They were his cronies. Now there’s no excuse for the extremely poor showing by GA teams at Jeff Cup.

Lower brackets, lost games, failure of new adds performing. Old guard players who can’t play. Disaster strikes again. Hold the joker accountable. Get rid of him!

Sorry but you don't know him too well. He has never put an emphasis on winning games. Even at Champions Cup and GA Playoffs. You can credit BP with those wins when at FCV. C will actually sabotage teams before the game even begins and often play the bench just as much as starters among other decisions that hurt chances at winning games. You also don't bring the backup GK a year younger to play at these events if you want to win. I would wager if CC approached games like a few others in the area, you would see better results.

Should he be fired? No. The overwhelming majority of players love him and enjoy trainings. That is where players most time is spent and players do in fact develop. I'll take losing important games over a coach who is abusive any day. Been there, done that.

Some people should also remember this is not VDA where talent flocks to. Or even any ECNL Club in the DMV for that matter. The best players aren't itching to move to VRSC, NVA or SYC. Having the personnel does affect a record and success.

[b]The biggest issue plaguing VRSC at older age groups is lack of college recruitment. This goes for any GA Club in our area. NVA will see the same thing starting next year. The 08s and 09s benefit from its time in the ECNL.

The biggest issue is the players are not good. Not good players don’t get recruited….except by this coach…from other clubs.

Ummm, players are recruited. 3 are committed to D1 and a 4th one coming. One D3 commit did not want to play D1 but had offers. Nobody ever said VRSC was VDA. Like ever. And don’t deny that NVA and CISC got most of its recruits from ECNL exposure last year.

Next year, VRSC, NVA, SYC, and CISC will all be hurting for recruits. It’s not just a VRSC problem. It’s a GA problem. Let’s be real.

Every single player you are refering to came from another club. Most in last two years. There are 4-5 players from great falls, 2-3 from union, Bethesda, most of the rest from Loudoun. Maybe 2 or 3 are legacy Fcv from youth days. Not a good record. This TD oversaw 2 or 3 from youth upwards. All they do is steal players or accept rejects.

The two players left at NVA…one is from Maryland United and the other is from Union.

FVU has former NVA players committed along with former VDA and FCV players.

VDA has former NVA, FCV, Union and more.

Bethesda has former FVU, NVA, VDA and Arlington players.

Every club “steals” players. As for rejects, every GA club is taking ECNL rejects.

No team is going to be heavily recruited unless in the top 50 of US. There is only a handful of those in each age group, if that.

Get over it. GA sucks no matter which club! Quit acting like any other GA club in the poor MA-S isn’t going to follow the same road.

Teams dont get recruited players do

Is that what it says on your cool GA shirt? Scouts go to watch games with clubs that have a history of developing kids. Why waste your time looking for a needle in a haystack.

Actually, scouts go to watch games where kids have already been in contact with them by sending emails, film, and expressed interest. Scouts already have their list of players to watch before the showcase begins. They don’t have time to waste watching players who have not shown interest and are not on their radar already.

You are clearly a GA dreamer parent. What you’re referring to are the colleges who come to get a few cleanup players after they’ve filled their rosters at ECNL events. The numbers this year are clear 75-25 ECNL vs ga. The coaches know who the top clubs are and will take players from those clubs over lower level ga or ECNL clubs. Every player on a top team from a top club is recruited.

Proof, on the boys side, there is still reminisce of the good work done. A couple of teams are top 20 in the country.

Don’t let buck teeth cc insert himself on the boy side or shambles is coming.

Tell me you know nothing about CC without telling me.

CC sold FCV at the height of FCV... they had top level teams, top college commits etc. But time was up and he left after the same. He didn't leave anything in shambles. Moving the club to Springfield dorked up FCV. And you obviously have no idea what he looks like.

You assess a club by “top college recruits”? Sorry, that is all pay to play language. It needs to change.

Watch the World Cup this summer, dork. Count how many FCV “top college recruits” feature there. If you find any, see if they match up at the highest level.

Reminds me of the line from Billy Madison. We are all stupider from having read that.

I'll help you...zero. FCV has one pro player at KC. Sad for a club that was so so so top tier for almost 10 years.

100%. They work really hard to control the narrative and oversell themselves.

U13s just got smoked. It’s over for VRSC for this year.
