If we’re talking history then we have to note DeMatha’s return to being a top contender this year and potentially its return to being the preeminent program in WCAC. DMs won more titles than any other program. Sorry “god is purple” GZ and nouveau riche SJC. And DM produced Paul Rabil, one of the greatest lacrosse players of all time. DM is back on top! |
None of those teams can hand with Polk high class of '66. |

I believe I speak for everyone here when I say that I'll bookmark this post and come back on 5/12. If you're proven correct you can bask in the reflected glory and talk all the sh*t you want but if you're wrong I fully expect you to show up, take your L and get dunked on by everyone. Need to prove it first before you start making these bold proclamations. |
Looks like someone touched a purple nerve or maybe the noveau riche one. Regardless, no DMV athletic program comes close to DeMatha on overall athletic success in all sports. Not a one. DM is back on top! |

Wish this forum had account handles.
It might add a little accountability for trolling and wild predictions as well as inform readers of which people historically offer insight. |
Historically, yes. Recently? no |

Need to prove it first before you start making these bold proclamations. DeMatha is loaded with committed seniors who committed as incoming freshman to DeMatha when Scott Morrison was still the coach. He ended up retiring that June. However, once the seniors graduate, I see DM dropping. The seniors are the reason DM is doing so well this year. Also, this is the first time in over 3 years DeMatha has a real and good FOGO, who is a junior and committed to The Mount. Their recruiting classes for 26, 27 and 28 are so low in numbers and lack any real quality despite a handful of players. Prior coaches Dave Mitchell, and complete failure of a coach Matt Miller did not actively recruit players. Also, most of the former hot beds DeMatha recruited in (Crofton, Kent Island and Annapolis) sees those players going to other schools (Spalding, St Marys, Severn). Unfortunately, PG County is not a hotbed for lacrosse. It is the do or die Spring for DM. |

St. Anthony's vs Spalding this afternoon!
Livestream at 12:30 (yes lunchtime). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtcvTTNM2Eg -Rusty Gate |
No nerves touched, just making sure no one forgets this stellar prediction of coming DM dominance. We'll know for sure in a few weeks where we're at and like I said, if this is you, you'll need to come back and get clowned on. If it comes true you can tell everyone you told us so. Enjoy the rest of your day Nostrodamus. |

Lets get some commentary and predictions for tonight. There are two monster games tonight.
In the WCAC, Gonzaga vs Good Counsel in Olney. Will the Purples Eagles flex their muscles like did last year to the Falcons on two separate occasions? Just how good are the Falcons under 3rd year head coach, Dane Smith? My gut tells me the Purple Eagles will prevail to victory due to senior leadership. Eagles 9 Falcons 7 Over in the IAC, bitter rivals, Landon and Bullis square off. Bullis has better individual talent than the Bears, however Landon appears to play better as team. As always the Bears very athletic and can beat you between the lines. Landon has the edge in goalie play while Bullis has a monster at the face-off circle. I think Landon's depth propels them to victory. Bears 10 Bulldogs 9 Good luck to all players and coaches tonight, should be a great night for lacrosse! |
“I believe I speak for everyone here….” LOL. Ah, no you don’t. Unlikely you speak for anyone but little ole you |
Right and you're the same guy proclaiming DM mid season champs, yeah? I guess I touched a nerve dm dad. |
It's a beautiful day today. Why don't you kids go play outside. |
