If I had to guess, I bet they got people calling in about Windmills all the time based on the website and decided to just take them off until the economy rebounds/the roads are developed. |
Windmills were always sold 1 every few months etc... So, get ready for them in the new year!!!

Late to the game here... but we have to move from CA back to MD for my husband's job after 5 years and i'm researching this neighborhood as we have little kids (3&6). Is there still concern that the mt prospect school district is going to change? I saw that in 2020 threads but not so much lately. thanks for any insigt. |
It might... but that is after 2026. No one knows yet, but honestly a new school with state of art equipment and awesome demographics is a win win situation! |
No don't be silly. Mt Prospect is across the street from Travillah elementary. Travillah is not being moved. |
This. Who in their right mind buys at Mt Prospect when they can buy in Bethesda.... Mt Prospect looks like crappy townhouses. |
The homes are the same with different names in Bethesda. So are you saying why buy a crappy townhome in Bethesda for 400k more than Mt Prospect? |
Unfortunately that's not how it works. QO is also closer than Wootton. This area is still very vulnerable to being redistricted. There was a lot of talk about it by the BOA a couple years ago and I've heard little since then. So who knows. |
Obviously that should have been BOE. |
These houses will lose value if moved out of the Wootton cluster. So not exactly win win, especially if you are purchasing hoping to be in the Wootton cluster. |
Yeah, a HS redistricting would be a bummer for parents and home value. I looked at Amalyn online too but that looks awful given the proximity to 495. I would be incredibly concerned about long-term health risks due to exposure over a long period. We're going to look at all options I guess, including older homes but thought Mt. Prospect would bring more neighbors wanting to get to know one another, kids etc.
Does anyone currently live here and feel that there's a good amount of kids running around? Our San Diego neighborhood is just that and we have no choice but to move back to MD in January. thanks for any insight. Really appreciate it. I'm from MD originally but never lived in Potomac. |
I live here now. It is a lovely neighborhood - mostly young families and many kids of all ages. Given that it is winter, it is a bit quiet as far as kids running around. However, there were certainly kids always at the park, riding bikes and otherwise playing all summer. There is no community pool so that usual common place that draws kids and families does not exist. However there is a big park coming (not sure when - maybe a few years?) that I am sure will be a common space.
The homes are very pretty and large (even the smallest models). Most of the larger home lots with some backyard space too. I would absolutely recommend it. |
This is a wonderful community. Travillah ES is fantastic school with involved parents. |
I live here now too. It's a great neighborhood, a lot of kids, but also some without kids. Halloween was really fun this year. So many families and kids were out, and a lot of houses decorated for Halloween (and now winter lights/decorations). |
Anyone know if the Arden model home is the same as Kalorama? |
