But why on Earth would she do this! Did you see her? I'm dumbfounded at the cruelty people have directed at her.

Denial is strong in some people, and a lot of people don’t think it’s assault unless you were pulled into a dark alley by a stranger and violently raped. Remember when there was that whole mess about “legitimate rape”? Because they think of it that way. If it doesn’t meet so many (imaginary) criteria, it doesn’t matter. Do you remember the uproar when the FBI updated their definitions around sexual assault? People lost their minds that digitally penetrating someone against their will would be considered rape.

So tune out the MRA nutbag. Some people will think every woman is lying, no matter what. Millions more of us thought of or remembered our own assaults or those of our friends when Dr. Ford was talking (and again when Mr. Entitlement was raging off topic).

If someone were known to have shaken his naked penis in someone's face at a party when he was in his 20s, so close they had to touch it to get away from it, should that preclude them from the supreme court.

Put aside the partisan politics, and just answer without that. Is that disqualifying behavior?

No, but lying about it last week would.

Sorry dear. Flake has no next election. Collins will meanwhile lose her election if she votes FOR BK and she knows it.

Sorry the math is against your wish. It comes down to Collins, MurKowski, Flake, Manchin, and Heitkamp. Kavanaugh only needs 2 out of 5. Collins' election is 2 years away. Flake has not switched party yet. He will most likely be confirmed.

I don't think Trump's speech this evening is going to help with Collins and Murkowski.

No. Lying about it (and about excess drinking) should preclude them from the Supreme Court.

Best to admit that you were a drunk party bro and that is behind you. Not what Kavanaugh did. He acted like he was a choir boy who did nothing.

Please note where he said that. I heard him say that he did drink a lot--but he did not "blackout." You added the "choirboy" spin.

That is what is called "lying."

He said he did not "blackout" and many others are saying he did get that drunk. That is called lying. That's different from "liking beer."

"Blackout" means you can't remember. I lived through the 80s, and remember *some* of it.

No. That’s called telling the truth. Kavanaugh himself said he spent all his time studying, going to Mass, and doing service projects. He could have gone with the “I was kind of wild in high school” defense, and everybody would have understood, but he didn’t. He went full choir boy, although he has had to walk that back now that he has been exposed as untrustworthy.

I know, I would like to see that corroborated somewhere else, too. It just hits too many of the same notes -“fffff” “Bart,” etc. If it’s real though

What’s the pond scum saying tonight?

Its got to be either him or Mark Judge right? Does anyone know how long that poster had been around?

And, many others are saying he never got that intoxicated. Once again, it is who you believe.
And, the FBI has done 6 background checks. Alcohol use is one of the questions they ALWAYS ask and probe.

NO HE DIDN’T. In fact, he said “I liked beer.” He also said he wasn’t perfect, but he was innocent of the ridiculous charges.

I thought he said he was too busy lifting with Tobin & Squee to drink very much.

Look at you with your hashtag, probably handcrafted for your unwitting consumption in Russia.

We all saw St. Bart the Virgin on Fox. That’s what we’re referring to.

You know who doesn’t care about the good of the country: KAVANAUGH. I don’t care about the charges (though I care that he lied about his yearbook), but if he wasn’t partisan - wouldn’t he step down and stay in his already cushy job. But, he’s in if for himself and he says that he supports this raging partisan battle.

It’s unbelievable that the left feels intimidation is a legitimate political tactic and not an immoral and disgusting technique reserved for dictators, banana republics, and the mob.

What is unbelievable is that Trump is daring women like you not to vote for him, by saying shitty things, and you do nevertheless.

I’ve voted Democrat all my life, but after this unbelievable farce which appears to be the last gasp of desperation of an already lost party I think I will probably vote red in November. Mostly because the democratic message isn’t about Helping workers, promoting American liberty or world peace. It’s about hating trump because he doesn’t speak politely. There is no message for the Democrats and it’s an embarrassment.

Liar! If you did, you would say you voted “democratic,” which is how you say it. This is the wing nut term.

Not the PP, but could you be more sure of yourself? Everyone I know who is a democrat will say, "I'm voting Democrat this year," etc. It's just a shorthand way of saying it. Which any normal person would acknowledge. Idiot.

I don't want Kavanaugh to be a Supreme Court justice, but I really enjoyed that prolific pukers letter. I have a fraternity brother who organized our road trips and wrote letters a lot like that.
