I highly doubt that is the case. maybe 1 or 2, but 5?? I would double check your sources

There were in fact 5 freshmen playing yesterday. While not all 5 may have started, they were playing throughout the game until the end.

Previous comment said "Started" that is what I was questioning as being false. And they have 5 total 2029s on roster according to Hudl, 1 being a goalie. Is SR starting a frosh goalie?

Except for Saints, every ISL team I’ve watched this year plays 3 or 4 freshmen. However she plays more players than probably anyone in the ISL because they come off when they annoy her, so it makes sense she plays a 9th grader or two more.

Anyone that has watched the Saints knows that it was probably the worst They’ve played all season! SR got lucky that it was an off day for Saints who have only lost one game by one goal. I would not call in the season on them. They’re gonna battle till the end despite this one loss.

Yes. The freshman starts. Sometimes the goalies split halves but sometimes she plays the whole game.

And "starting" is all relative when a team runs a box instead of 3 pure midfielders. You typically start the defender(s) and if you win the draw they run off for the attacker(s). SR and GC both run only 1 midfielder and utilize the box for the other 2 spots. SSSAS runs an interesting box where they only start 10 on the field and once there is possession, the defender or attacker runs on accordingly without having to wait for the other to come off.

Again not true. The Saints have played freshman and sophomores just about every game! Stop spreading fake news.

The Saints have faced tough competition throughout their schedule. Every year, there are those who try to downplay their achievements. They have taken on strong teams from Florida, Chicago, and our own ISL high-caliber teams. Stop underestimating these players, the program, and their challenging schedule. Haters will always hate, but constantly criticizing the Saints and SR is getting old. These are top programs with top coaches, and that's a fact.

Coaches always talk about the improvement between freshman and sophomore year is the greatest.

Does NCS even have a regulation size lacrosse field?

Losing a single game by one goal with some favorable ref calls and playing man down last two minutes out of 17 victories is not a catastrophe for any team under any circumstances! SR played well and had some lucky calls that went their way! Congrats to the team! All these players and families know each other, and are very proud of both team teams! It was a very competitive game overall and that’s all you can ask for in the ISL. Nobody wants to watch a blowout.

I don’t know if it’s regulation, but there is no room outside the lines, in particular one horrible corner that I think the line and the fence are a foot away from each other. But beautiful views.

Anonymous wrote:The Saints unfortunately fell short in a very tight match against SR! Saints appeared a bit sloppy with some players not moving ball well/taking bad shots, defense holding ball too long with turnovers while SR showed aggressive, physical play and a few ref calls in their favor.... One loss after 17 wins is still pretty darn good.
Congrats to SR!

Same story - different year for Saints. Play a cupcake schedule to try to get ranked and fold like a cheap tent when it really matters. Recruits or no recruits - same result.

SR will win the ISL

Visi will beat Saints in semi-finals.
Saints will beat Visit!

If Saints don't win both ISL and VA states with this all-time recruiting class, it will be one of the most under achieving choke jobs ever.

Really? I think a semi final finish seems about what we should expect given the recruiting class. A few impressive schools and a few decidedly non- impressive schools.

we know visitation does not but I don’t think anybody really pays much attention to NCS field? Is it?

100% they only lost by one goal and played man down! I’m rooting for SSSA to win it all and I got a kid at a different school!

But they only beat Visi by one in OT the week before. Given what people say about Visi, how can that not be the worst play of their season? There are just too many close games for a team so loaded. I just don't see Saints running through both Visi and SR given recent performance on the field.
