They have everything to do with this trial. Why else would the pig drive to another state armed?!

He crossed state lines to go from his mother’s house in IL to go to his father’s house in Kenosha, WI. The weapon didn’t cross state lines and was provided to Kyle in Kenosha.

He was violated the citywide curfew and WI law that prohibits minors from carrying a long gun, except for 16 and 17 year olds with the express purpose of hunting. He had cleaned up graffiti and used his medic kit earlier in the day.

After he finished being civic and cleaning up the city, why didn't he go home? Why did he stay out after curfew, armed with the AR 15?

Precisely. And he did go hunting. He murdered two people and maimed a third. What a defense you mounted.

His politics have nothing to do with it. His background could, depending on what his background is. Being a Thin Blue Line supporter? Probably not relevant. Had he previously posted stuff online about wanting to shoot rioters (I’m not saying he did that, it’s a purely hypothetical example), that would be relevant.

"He's a white supremacist who went to Kenosha to shoot some blacks."

Except that's not what the evidence says, except here on DCUM where the twisting in the wind to make things fit is astronomical.

+1 the amount of rabid insanity and manufactured backstory on this thread are simply absurd.

I’m not mounting a defense. I think he should do time in a juvenile detention facility. I just don’t think it’s fair to give the impression that he 1) carried a weapon across state lines, which is a crime he not commit and 2) that he had no reason to be in Kenosha besides shooting people.

Rittenhouse admitted on the stand that it was an illegal straw purchase. You are splitting hairs to justify this.

he also admitted on the stand, he was not an EMT and he was not trained to administer first aid.

If Rittenhouse is acquitted then does the precedent being set means I can carry a powerful weapon to an area of unrest and claim self defense. If SCOTUS rules in Texas’ favor then precedent won’t be a viable argument.

So you are saying that an illegal straw purchase and being in possession of a long gun (legal for hunting) in a riot zone is ok? So you are saying he was hunting (rioters)?

Because I don't think there are many deer in downtown Kenosha in the summertime, and besides, buck season is in the fall, not summer.

So...?

He stated that he was there to protect a business……why are struggling to understand that?

Business owners know that you don't protect property with a gun.

Rittenhouse knew better.

I thought he was on trial to determine if he shot in self defense. Which, according to the evidence, looks like he did. I think if he was running around picking people off randomly it would have more bearing on the trial. But that’s not what happened here.

Every case needs to be judged on it's own merit. After viewing all the videos I agree it's clearly self defense. This was a riot, and he was hunted down. No it wasn't the opposite clearly.

I believe he'll get off because the video shows these thugs pursuing him. Oh excuse me, "peaceful protestor"....lol

It really doesn't matter. Legally you can't violently assault someone because you don't like them being armed. This is what happened.

Not admissible in court but he was recorded saying this about looters a week or so before he went to Kenosha:
https://www.jsonline.com/videos/news/crime/2021/08/19/rittenhouse-can-heard-saying-wish-had-my-expletive-ar/8188781002/

"Bro, I wish I had my f---ing AR. I'd start shooting rounds at them."

No one gave him the authority to do so. We don’t have vigilante justice. We have cops there to do that. He was adding to the problem and killed two people.

If he is convicted then there will be no violence; nothing will happen.

Oh please. The far left doesn't get to rule the courts. If they want to go that route then many criminals will be rounded up, and sent to jail. Or hopefully worse.
