Sure.

A couple of problems with your plan though:

1. Can you really claim self defense? Like was there a riot going on around you? Like there was a protest in another state that you went to because you wanted to fck some people up? Like that?
2. Are there witnesses that will help your case like one of the people you shot? How about the witnesses to him saying he wanted to shoot people?
3. Is there a lot of video of the incident that clearly shows you under attack? How about him cold-decking a young woman in the head?
4. Are you a meek kid being attacked by larger, rougher appearing people? Only people with emotional and physical shortcomings buy guns so big.

If you have those four your plan will work. Otherwise you are in trouble.

The GOP plan: uphold vigilante violence. You need those foot soldiers in your fascist rise. Elevate a murderer who went looking for trouble; you keep pretending that he just happened upon the protest. He didn’t. He went there on purpose. With an illegally purchased gun. This wasn’t self defense, it was slow moving murder, aided and abetted by an extremist judge.

Kyle will likely be dead by his own hand (or drugs) in five years. That’s not justice, that’s just the way things are. He’s a small, sad sack of human who has gotten sucked up into GOP propaganda and his life is over because of it.

In rural parts of the country, millions of teenagers hunt both as a hobby and as a way to help feed their families. An AR-15 is just another long rifle, which is why there wasn’t anything illegal about Rittenhouse possessing it. It’s a common fact of life in many rural areas.

Long rifles aren’t really a significant part of gun violence. They make up about 3% of murder weapons.

Why can't they? When I was a kid in Virginia and not that far out from DC, kids brought their rifles to school so they could hunt on the way home. Kept them in the principal's office. This middle school and high school.

When? In the 19th century?

1970s and early 1980s.

And I bet you and your buddies did that to try to intimidate and black children yiu came across on way to school from trying to attend your school as was their constitutional right after Brown v Board of Ed

And you hid behind some old hunting practice from the 1800’s

Kyle Rittenhouse lied that he was an EMT and entered a riot with a semi automatic strapped to him - a 17 year old with triggered PTSD - feeling like he finally has sanction to vent his pent up rage

He is a very disturbed 18 year old , with no education , a chaotic and abusive upbringing and - at age 17 - he has already murdered 2 strangers

He did so under cover of a riot - with impunity - then walked away right past the police . He shows no remorse

He is a sociopath and he will re- offend

I never said I had a gun. I said kids brought them. There was not a single black kid in schools in my youth or even around us so no. Brown vs. Bd is a 1950s case so was already in the history books in the 1970s and 1980s. Not an issue that anyone focused on. Some of those kids were hunting their family dinner -- yes in the 1980s.

there were a lot of things we did back in the 70s and 80s that we now know was really stupid. Additionally, mass school shootings weren't as prevalent as it is today. I would not want my kids to go to school where this is allowed.

There is so much wrong with your post. Suffice it to say - you don't have facts. It is clear you didn't watch the trial or are reading factual accounts of the trial.
And, if you cannot believe that a jury of 12 people came to the decisions they made, you need to find better news sources, pp. You are the one being fed propaganda.

1. Can you really claim self defense? Like was there a riot going on around you? Like there was a protest in another state that you went to because you wanted to fck some people up? Like that? You can do that if you want. It is legal if not smart.
2. Are there witnesses that will help your case like one of the people you shot? How about the witnesses to him saying he wanted to shoot people? There were none in this trial.
3. Is there a lot of video of the incident that clearly shows you under attack? How about him cold-decking a young woman in the head? Where are you getting this stuff. No that did not happen.
4. Are you a meek kid being attacked by larger, rougher appearing people? Only people with emotional and physical shortcomings buy guns so big. That is an odd and untrue statement. It is also not a big gun. Pretty normal sized.

If you have those four your plan will work. Otherwise you are in trouble.

My kids school has a rifle team. Shooting team. Guess you would go private since it is public.

Fine. By outlawing long rifles we can reduce murders by 3%. That’s more than 10,000+ lives saved every year by my math based on the current stats. You’ve sold me! Good job!

Ban all long rifles. Done!

How many lives could you save by banning automobiles?

Given that automobiles and car culture are largely responsible for the emissions and suburban sprawl that are killing this planet, you’ll get no argument from me! I haven’t owned a car since 2002. Ban guns AND cars. Both are killing us in different ways, but just as effectively. Great analogy there, Bubba!

You’re not very bright, are you?

Kenosha Wisconsin is a city , not a rural area

There were no live game wandering around the park cars in the middle of the riot

All of this is deflection to try to avoid the cold hard facts : Kyle Rittenhouse doesnt respect the laws of our society : he used a straw buyer for a semi automatic that he then secretly used without a permit , he also drove a car without ever thinking he should - for the safety of all in his community- take a driver Ed class and pass the license exam and road test , he lied that he was an EMT to cloak himself and enter a riot under false pretense

He was raised in a home where there was no stability: his parents were substance abusers and his Dad beat his mom , he was homeless as a child , he dropped out of HS

He is a sociopath

He proved that when , after killing two people he walked straight past the police - did not turn himself in - coldly thought he got away with it . He had no idea who his 2nd and 3rd victims were - he objectified and dehumized them as “ the other “ - just like a sociopath

If it was self defense - he would have walked straight to the cops and turned himself in - not walked past them - he is a cold stone killer and he will re- offend

No remorse whatsoever, no self-awareness. He is going to kill again, bank on it.

1. There was no automatic weapon.
2. Crossing state lines is not a crime and something millions of people do daily.
3. You have no idea of the future. None.

An AR15 can fire 30 rounds of ammunition! If that’s not an automatic weapon then I don’t know WTF is!!!!!

Automatic- multiple bullets come out of the gun on one trigger pull until you let go.
Semi- automatic- one bullet per trigger pull even if you don't release. The next bullet will be ready for the next trigger pull, but it won't come out of the gun until you pull the trigger.
AR-15 is semi- automatic as are most modern guns.

So there is essentially no difference whatsoever between the two.

Got it.

Therefore he had an automatic weapon.

Think you. We’re done here.

And thank you for such entertainment. I love when people who are 100% wrong get so sanctimonious. Theater of the living. The best thing ever!

This is the other side of the Trumpers who think the election was stolen. It wasn't. There are no facts that it was. In fact all of the theories were tested in courts, many of them courts with Trump appointed judges and they all fail. Those people ignore reality. The people still clinging onto this case are people on the other side that can't see the facts right before them. They keep saying stuff that was debunked in the trial and they ignore almost every lawyer on TV who says this was correct. You do you but just know that you are the same as the Trumpers.

+1. If his life is over it’s because the media and the left have used him as their latest poster boy to scream white supremacy in a case that hasn’t proven one ounce of such. Despite a jury of his peers acquitting him of these charges, the media and the left apparently know better and will still go after this kid to destroy him and any life he has left. Are jury verdicts only valid and righteous when they align with your narrative?

You have to get out of the urban/close in mindset. Large parts of the country do things differently.
