That's not how it works. Vomiting indicates serious overconsumption of alcohol. You're not magically better because you throw up. You're still really, really drunk. The alcohol remains in the bloodstream and needs to be processed by the liver, which takes time. You've just expelled some of the toxins so you feel less sick.

Given that they were both videotaped vomiting, neither one was functional. I'm surprised anyone can think he was functional enough to be some dastardly mastermind in that state.

He puked before getting to beach too? So he "rescued" her shortly after that (according to the story reported on news today)? Then puked again on beach? Is a non-"functional" person able to "rescue" in a red flag warning swimming ocean after puking 1 or 2x? Any experts who can weigh in?

Both seemed black out, pi$$ poor drunk. I don’t think he could even know which way was up much less get it u% or assault anything. Like a person who wants to fight, punches the air and falls flat on their face.

She drowned and floated away. She was probably so drunk, she may have swallowed too much water, started getting sick again, fell down, was washed out. The fault IMO lies with the resort. Why is a bar open at 5am serving alcohol? or 4am? Why are people throwing up in the bar and then still being served?!

Think crazy stuff can’t happen in the US? What about that girl at LSU? Drunk out of her mind, left with people she didn’t know, assaulted in a car, got out and run over by another car.

Could not agree with this post more. I got this drunk once, and woke up on the floor. My friend and I had both blacked out and didn’t remember a thing. There was puke everywhere, we’d overturned furniture, etc. This girl could have wandered back in the water after the boy had passed out no knowing what she was doing. I bet the bar has footage and they’re hiding it. The resort is liable.

I think he was so drunk he doesn’t know what the hell was going on. Pitch black, drunk, and red flags? I’m surprised he even survived.

I wonder why we haven’t heard more from her friends (even if they are not publicly named)- unless I missed it somehow. When did they meet this guy & how, approximately how much she had to drink, did they think anything seemed unusual or off about him etc…keeping in mind the friends were also probably very drunk. Same for
the friend Josh traveled with.

I will say that some people may be underestimating just how unbelievably blackout drunk people can get, all on their own (without consuming tainted booze or roofies or anything else).

It would be nice if these hotels took more responsibility in some way- in terms of over serving and/or allowing guests to wander the beach at 3AM etc (they likely would’ve had to walk right past a security guard). The same stuff happens in the US though, and these kids are considered adults (and should not have to be babysat).

Where the heck where her friends. And I don't think she was in a position to consent to anything he wanted to do. There is a line there and I think it was crossed.

They both puked then proceeded to go the beach, go in the water, and kiss? Good lord. I personally think he was too drunk to assault, jmo. He was on the verge of passing out, which he did shortly after. Doesn't sound like either one was functional.

Now that we know how drunk she was, I do think her friends should have shepherded her back to the hotel. I don't remember any of my friends puking then proceeding to socialize after. It was straight home to bed at that point!

How is no one discussing how did the bar allow these people to get so drunk?

It has been asked several times pages ago. No one seems to know until bar footage is reviewed. Did resort lose power that day?

Even if there is bar footage it will be wall to wall people. Good luck picking these kids out. This is not your quiet neighborhood bar. It’s a party bar even in the wee hours of the morning. You’re looking for some footage that doesn’t exist.

experts could figure who and where they were. But is there footage? Will they release to fbi?

Why do you keep nannering on about him holding a phone? He was drunk enough to puke all over the beach (fact). Have you ever been puke-drunk? That's an advanced stage of intoxication.

I have been puke-drunk myself once and helped several people puking after getting drunk. Have you? Never saw anyone puking an hour after holding a drunk person in arm while taking pictures. Yes, he puked at the beach as being reported as a fact, do we know if he puked cause he was drunk or he swallowed ocean water or something else?

I got piuking drunk all the time in college and I saw people pulling an hour after all sorts of things. Or an hour before all sorts of things. People use to say “Boot and rally.” I don’t understand your point.

Anonymous wrote:It is ridiculous to see people trying to vouch for this man as just a drunk kid.

Pay attention to the video, the man was holding the drunk girl with his one arm and using the other one to take selfies/videos of them so not a blackout drunk at all. They were not headed to ocean for swimming but just to make out in front of ocean setting. The pro wrestling champion was way overpowered to the petite girl so she couldn’t struggle much if there was foul play as their idea of making out could be different. His story about her being taken out by waves or him passing out is bs. Any man will report a drowning or mention something to front desk if girls friends left them in privacy trusting him with their friend. He is definitely hiding what truly happened and lawyering up to avoid further investigation. And him walking back without his shirt and shoes/socks clearly indicates there’s more to what happened.

Really wish Loudoun County sheriff was asked to assist considering girl’s family are tax paying residents of the county. DR just wants it to be drowning case as they don’t want any crime reported in their country for tourism.

See, as a Loudoun taxpayer, I don’t want a couple of detectives chilling in the DR on taxpayer funds for however long. Jurisdiction belongs to the DR.

If it was your kid you would.

Maybe if they were divers who located dead bodies in the ocean, but there is no evidence of a crime here so what are the sheriffs even doing?

Assisting the FBI in questioning POI among other tasks, it seems.

Since it’s in the DR / outside the US, can the FBI use those enhanced interrogation techniques on him until he talks?

You can get all sort of confessions by using torture from guilty and innocent. We banned those for a reason.

You don’t have to be a mastermind to harm someone, and impaired people harm others every day.

Some additional details in this local DMV news story.

Why not? And did they say there isn't?

Woulda coulda shoulda.

It could happen to any of us or our kids

Only kids who think the reason for a vacation is to get drunk. There are many other ways to have fun.

Did you not go to college? This is normal behavior.
Sad tragedy but not really news worthy.

Drunk college kids have poor judgment and there are alcohol-related deaths in this age group all the time.

Source?

Hey YOU. Common sense doesn’t require a source. NP

DEATHS from alcohol ALL the time??? source???

yes. ALL THE TIME. Drunk driving, alcohol poisoning, drowning while drunk, wandering into traffic while drunk. Are you not from the United States?

Not just motor vehicles accidents, do a quick search to find various types of accidents caused by drunk folks.

He's not accused of a crime and there is zero evidence a crime was committed by anyone at any point that night. His story matches the evidence. Why is it so hard for people to accept that this poor girl got drunk and foolishly drowned? There is zero other plausible explanation for her disappearance.

I agree. Parents want to blame someone not their daughter.

No. They don't want to leave any stone unturned.
