Sounds like Nancy was a great mother.

She thought she was having a wholesome dinner and family game night.

What is so scary about his appearance?

His beard and name 😵‍💫

I actually find him handsome and an Italian accent.. I’d be weak in the knees.

You have a thing for scary looking men? Weird. He reminds me of Charles Manson.

That’s not awfully interesting. 84 is a great age, but not a “milestone” birthday. A dinner at my house is exactly how I expect my own parents would hope to celebrate.

It’s interesting in that if it was planned as a celebration, given her recent birthday, that there were no other guests or witnesses to the dinner. Did she actually make it to the dinner? Was there a dinner?

The uber driver may have picked up a woman, but was it the mother?

They had dinner and played mahjongg. Its not that deep. Don't you do things like this with your family?

We did the exact same thing for my mother in law’s birthday. We had food and cake at my house. No guests, especially since it wasn’t a milestone birthday. This is how most old people celebrate, even ones who have lots of friends. A lot of them don’t want fuss or to make their friends go out.

If your MIL disappeared after that dinner, why steps would you want taken? Walk is thru using what we know about this case. This is what makes this case interesting. Given an everyday activity, what scenario happened?

It is such a shocking event there is nothing most people have planned and we cannot predict reactions. I think they have done everything they could, which is work with authorities, let them look at the last places she was, let them know which contractors had access to the home, etc.

there’s ladies on here who keep intentionally spelling his name wrong and saying how creepy he looks. These cows sitting at home, judging, probably upset that ice puts brown people into cars, but unaware of their unconscious bias when it’s not blatantly obvious.

Well, most notably neither my husband, or I are famous, neither are my siblings – and they aren’t in a profession where reporters are being arrested for speaking out against the government. If that were the case, my initial thought would probably be it had something to do with that because what else would make sense.

But why kidnap the mother not the sister? They could send the same message with capturing the brother too.

Doubt it. It’s very hard to get away with these types of crimes for this long in this day and age. Ring cameras, license plate readers, geofence warrants, etc. Would be quite hard to do for a rando crazy.
