Good showing on Day 1 in Annapolis with WesPo and Battlefield keeping it tight with South River and Severna Park and Robinson's win over Broadneck
3 more on the slate today at Robinson 4:00 WesPo Broadneck 6:00 Battlefield South River 8:00 Robinson Severna Park |
West Potomac blew a late lead. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Battlefield win against South River. I can see Robinson beating Severna Park today too. VA could go 2-1 today. |
I don’t believe that to be accurate. |
My son’s school plays 14 and has no tournament. They also had scrimmages with refs. Not sure you have the most accurate information. |
This is completely accurate. If your sons plays for an FCPS school and is playing 14 games without a “tournament” they are violating FCPS rules. |
We play a couple of non-FCPS teams so I think you’re still wrong. |
Coaches give input to madlax about individual players at the end of the year. Weekly rankings are decided by madlax. No votes. Public is always off at the beginning of the year with them over ranking public’s that participate in madlax events in the off season. They usually have it right by the end of the season. We should all be happy they are giving love to public’s at all. Riverside will move up the rankings quickly after DeMatha Urbana and Madison. |
They were seeking out voters before the season, I assume thy got some and were using multiple inputs. I don’t see any indie on how they do rankings on their very muddled page, my bad if it is just MadLax. |

As someone posted earlier. FCPS sets there own limits for ever sport. Lacrosse gets 11 games. Teams have the option to add up to 4 tournament/invitational games. You’re entitled to be wrong on this. Whether schools follow this rule or not is a different debate but those are absolutely the rules.
|
There is no such FCPS policy unless you’re willfully misrepresenting FCPS Regulation 5810. VHSL sets the game limit policy and FCPS complies with it. If a school only plays 11 games that is a school specific decision. We play 14, and that includes some non-FCPS games which count to the 14 game limit. |
| You might want to email your schools AD. This is an internal policy their is no board reg to my knowledge. |
| It’s not an internal policy because no such policy exists. This is a school by school budgeting and scheduling matter. If you want to call that an “internal policy” ok, but it isn’t due to FCPS policy not budget limit for only 11 games (someone previously claimed only 10). |
| Anyways… predictions for the games today anyone? |
| NoVA schools get swept. |
