So Laxnumbers has Riverside as the best public school. But dmv rankings doesn’t even have them ranked. What is going on? |
https://www.instagram.com/p/DWhdL61CZVJ/ Also considered in the overall (not just public) rankings. I don't see any public rankings. Lax Numbers is math based on formulas. |
There are 4 Va public schools ahead of them in the dmv rankings. How can 2 rankings be so off. MadLax hates Riverside? |
Sigh, I'll play along. Lax Numbers is based on a formula, there are no humans. It's games computed based on criteria, including a type of SOS and scores etc. You can spend 3.3 seconds and find this information - https://www.laxnumbers.com/faq.php DMV Rankings has human voters I do believe. And they will have different opinions and biases on outcomes, SOS, quality of teams etc. DMV Rankings had Gonzaga at #8 from one week to the next despite losing two games and being winless, as an example of how a system of human voting can possibly be skewed. Most likely DMV Rankings has little pondering on any public schools. |
lol it’s only one person voting.. |
| Pretty sure they are mad about Stone Bridge being ranked ahead of Riverside since they beat them twice last year and have played a harder schedule this year to date. Which honestly makes me question the validity of the rankings. Doesn’t really make any sense. |

Rankings in March is like really dumb. Stop drinking the Kool Aid.
Anyone got any write up on the Robo or Battlefield game? Good win for Robo! |
Wins in March are like really dumb. Shouldn’t matter |
People lie, Numbers don't |
| Any scores for Oakton vs. South County and McLean vs. Fairfax? |
Can you hang a banner in the gym for being ranked #1 on lax numbers? |
McLean 12 Fairfax 6 |
| I assumed Oakton beat SC but still can’t find a score |
Key word is "budget", never said playing. Most FCPS teams have scheduled 4 (or so) "tournament" games (i.e. weekend games at Robinson, South County etc.) to get themselves up to target of 14 games for the season. They do this because FCPS has only "budgeted" (i.e. will pay for refs) for 10 (or so). Teams need to pay for tournament themselves and tournament fees cover refs. |
