Indy had better players, Madison had the better coach. Much closer than most predicted. Hats off to Indy, heck of a run through 6A.

I don’t see much of a great coaching job at all.

Here is the Madison offense:
1 sweep left off of high pick or
2 question mark from X

If it doesn’t work, just run it over and over. No adjustments, no other game plan.
Poor coaching on O. D plan was very good. Did 1/2 the job!

wth? they had 2 guys announcing semi final game - they did pretty good job too, multiple camera angles, replays etc. they couldn’t do same thing for state finals??

Same guys were announcing the final. Maybe you forgot to turn up your volume?

Agreed here. Seems to be consensus on this forum that Indy’s ‘win’ last year against Riverside was fraudulent. Would love to see Riverside dominate Indy again.

The Open division is now a reality in high school sports, ushered in by a unanimous vote by the Florida High School Athletic Association’s board of directors on Tuesday morning.

The new Open division will take the top eight teams in flag football, football, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, and softball and put them in their own division for the state playoffs. Don’t know why this is a thing. Riverside lost to Indy in the regionals last year, now over a year ago. The two schools are not even in the same class any longer.
What is “fraudulent” is Riverside claiming that the win wasn’t valid.
Give Indy their due as a two time state champ in different classes and an undefeated season.

Congrats to Indy, Riverside and Glass on the championships today.
