How long did it take you to conceive?

I know that it can vary greatly from person to person.

We are about to start trying to conceive in the next couple of months, and I'm just wondering what the chances are of getting pregnant on the first try.......

For DC1:
Stopped taking The Pill at the beginning of January. Had one normal cycle, got pregnant mid-February.

DC2:
Took six cycles to conceive.

DC3:
Um, one whoops! with DH and got pregnant.

First try both times and I was in my late 30s!

Got pregnant every time we tried-most didn't make it-but I always got pregnant. We started TTC when I was 39-had our son when I was 42.

1st time - got pregnant on the first cycle, miscarried at 6 weeks
2nd time - got pregnant after 6 cycles
3rd time - got pregnant after 4 cycles

6 months the first time, 4 months the second time, now I'm on my 3rd month of trying for the next one. mid-to-late 30s.

I'm 32 at 38 weeks pregnant - got pregnant on the first try. That's typical for my family (both my mom and older sister got pregnant very easily).

Makes me SO glad I practiced safe sex in my dating years!

6 months. But I feel it's important to clarify whether you're capital-T-Trying, or just not preventing. We didn't do ovulation tests, basal temperature tracking, sex-beepers, or any of that stuff. We just stopped using birth control and went about things in the usual way. I feel like my friends who tracked their cycles conceived more quickly, on average.

I was 31 at the time (32 now) and currently 36 weeks pregnant. Went off the pill at the end of August, pregnant in October.

First try- we decided in January that this would be the year. A day later I found out I had to be out of town most of the month for a business trip. That lasted into February. Came home for a weekend and then back on the road. About a week later realized that my bras were getting a little tight (I'm an unfortunate bloater). I'm 34 DH is 37.
