Four IAC teams and four WCAC teams will meet in the quarterfinals on June 3-5:

Gonzaga at #1 Georgetown Prep
Stephen’s/St. Agnes at #2 St. John’s
Dematha at #3 Bullis
Landon at #4 Paul VI
The winner of SSSA/St. Johns will play the winner of Dematha/Bullis.

The winner of Gonzaga/Georgetown Prep will face the winner of Landon/Paul VI.

Semifinal games will take place at 5pm and 7pm on June 8th at Catholic University. The Championship game will take place on June 11th at 7pm at Catholic University.

If Landon gets through PVI, Landon vs. Prep round 4! This year is so bizarre.

Love the fact this is happening, I see a minor difference. Not sure what Dematha has shown to get the 7 seed. Actually think this is a private Riverside would beat

4vs5 PVI/Landon

3vs6 Bullis/Purple
2vs7 St John/SSSA

Gonna go chalk except Landon will take down PVI. PVI been riding high because of the game Gonzaga decided to stop playing after the 1st q

Would have been a good time to show that game was a fluke with this opportunity, but not with this first game match up.

Watch for the purple to get physical with the Prep FOGO and hope their Rutgers LSM or Michigan SSDM can come in and mop up sloppy ground balls. You cannot act like its a regular FO against him. Give the clamp away and turn it into a scrum. Although hes so good, thats not even easy

Also looking forward to seeing how SSSA O does against St johns D. Although don't think SSSA D can stop St J's O to make a difference.

I'm not sure how or why DM was extended an invitation to this event when Episcopal is clearly better than them.

My guess is that EHS being a boarding school, most of the boarders are already gone for the summer and declined to participate.

GP will cruise by Gonzaga. GZ can't win a faceoff and has a limited offense.
Bullis won't have any issues with DeMatha
Landon and PVI game will be a toss up, I'm really intrigued by this contest.
SJC vs the Saints will be a lot closer than people think.

The Prep/GZ game should be fun -- for the kids. As a parent I cannot imagine the shenanigans that will occur, including possible graffiti around town. The is a real opportunity for a rivalry that doesn't usually get to take place.

Prep and Gonzaga lacrosse play every year, don't they?

GZ used to play Prep in football every year since they were both Jesuit schools. It stopped for a while as Preps football team was not anywhere close to being competitive with GZ. SJC used to do the same with Calvert Hall for football since both were Christian Brother schools. Not sure if they do it for lacrosse on a regular basis. They do play each other fairly consistently
