For those saying FcPS just wants a state championship- at this point, why? Even if get, completely tainted. The only one that would benefit is Coach O who will be able to say if your kid plays with me from 8 years old, I can get him to state. That’s great for Coach, but this will just be cheaters if win any games.

There's supposedly a hearing on Friday where a judge would decide whether to enjoin (prevent) the ban from taking effect. For now, Hayfield is still banned.

I can't imagine being in Robinson's situation and getting ready to play a playoff game, only to possibly have it yanked away at the last minute. Shame on Michelle Reid, Karl Frisch, John Foster and whoever else in FCPS gave a green light to this nonsense. Every single one of them should be fired.

I’m confused. Did Robinson just find out that they were in the playoffs 5 days ago when Hayfield got penalized? Or did they expect to be in the playoffs for longer? If they just got notified, this indignation on behalf of the Robinson kids seems disingenuous and just another reason to demonize Reid.

FCPS is pushing for hearing on Friday to decide which teams play where THAT SAME NIGHT? All on behalf of a school/program that blatantly violated the spirit/letter of the rules that everyone else abides by? That can't be the case.

VHSL has right/responsibility to sanction high school sport events/eligibility etc. What possible reason would judge have for reversing them when they confirmed their decision THREE separate times (initial ban then affirmed on 2 different appeals)?

And btw - this affects more than just two teams - everybody's seeding would be impacted which means all match-ups would be changed. Horrible community impact if they reverse things now.

There is no case on the Friday injunction docket under Fairfax, Hayfield, or VHSL. They keep updating it so maybe it will be added or maybe it’s just rumor.

You care about the Robinson kids but what about the Hayfield kids, that regardless of what went on at the adult level behind the scenes, put in the work showed to practice and won, does that not matter to you

Reliable sources like the Nova Sports Media Team (followed by coaches, teams, etc) are also posting about the injunction. We’ll all know more by Friday. And we likely won’t have any updates until then.

Did you check the dockett of the city of Charlottesville, or whatever county is down there? That’s where the VHSL is.
