Single Issue Voter: Controlling The Borders

There is only one other country on our southern border. Time to shut down all trade with Mexico until things change. I’m ready to do it.

If Biden had balls, he would give the president of Mexico an ultimatum. My fear is that one of our border agents or Texas DPS officers is going to be killed by one of the Mexican cartel members.
But, Biden doesn't know where he is half the time. We need to get someone else in office who can deal with Mexico effectively.

I always see people make this claim, that high apprehension numbers must mean the border is closed/secure.

Apprehended does not mean deported.

A majority of the migrants Border Patrol apprehends are released into the US with future court proceedings, sometimes years away. That is why many of them seek out BP and turn themselves in. They don’t hope for release, they expect it.

Where's that moronic poster who always comes along to claim that "high apprehensions must mean the Biden administration is doing its job!" What a dolt.

Some questions to ask yourself:
1. WHY are those future court proceedings years away? It's because Republicans have steadfastly refused to provide funding to staff the courts up to reduce the backlog
2. WHY are there court proceedings at all? It's because the law says that many migrants/refugee seekers have to be given a hearing before they can be deported and Republicans have not come up with any coherent solution to change that
3. WHY are they being released into the US? Because there is nowhere else to put them and Republicans have likewise refused to address that.

But sure, do go on telling yourself how this is entirely a Democrat problem that will go away if only we vote for more Republicans. Republicans have consistently failed to solve, or coherently address it as well.

1. The future court proceedings are years away because Biden has welcomed millions - yes, millions of migrants into our country. Instead of maintaining the Stay ini Mexico plan, he did away with everything that was working to maintain some semblance of order at our border and now we have chaos.
2. We know that 90% or more of those coming in are not eligible for asylum since they are economic migrants. But, the cartels know that Biden will allow these people in - EVEN THOUGH HE SAID AFTER TITLE 42 ENDED THAT ANYONE ENTERING AT PLACES OTHER THAN PORTS OF ENTRY WOULD BE DEPORTED.
3. See answer #1.

Biden has been an absolute disaster for the border. And, we have meathead Mayorkas continue to say "Our borders are secure." That is the biggest crock of $hit.

1. You're an idiot. The years-long backlog didn't suddenly happen under Biden. It also existed under Trump, and under Obama as well. Obama repeatedly requested more funds for the courts and was repeatedly refused by Republicans. Trump on the other hand did jack shit about it. Learn something, will you?

2. It DOESN'T MATTER if they are economic migrants who were coached. THE LAW still says they have to have a hearing. If you don't like it then demand Republicans CHANGE THE LAW.

3. Per #1 you're STILL an idiot who doesn't know what the law or history is.

The years-long backlog has gotten ten times worse under Biden.
Why did he do away with the Stay in Mexico plan? Answer: Because he wanted a surge at the border. He even said he wanted a surge. This is part of his plan.
I do know the law. Our law also states to deport those who are present illegally. But, this administration has told CPB that simply being present illegally is not a reason for deportation. They are facilitating the trafficking of humans, of drugs, and of criminals across our border.
He cannot be gone soon enough. He and his cabinet and appointees are destroying the country in so many ways.

"Backlog has gotten ten times worse" - either you don't know math or you have a serious exaggeration problem. Sorry hon but it was as much as 2-3 years under Trump too. Ten times worse would mean 20-30 years. Also, you didn't address why Republicans haven't done a damn thing. Yet you're going to go right ahead and vote for more Republicans who didn't solve it.

Ten times worse...... ten times the number of people, thanks to Biden.

NEW: 2,274 migrants crossed into the Tucson Sector yesterday according to DHS sources. The majority of them came through the open floodgates in Lukeville. I was down there watching it all unfold—Nonstop for hours.

Agents tell me the normal “high” for encounters before this current surge was around 1,500.

Most of the individuals I met were from Senegal and Mauritania—All of them were going to New York aside from one who was going to Minnesota—He was also the only one who said he had family here.

Across the border—9,100 migrants were encountered yesterday.

Buses cannot go up to where the wall is because of the terrain so they are transporting people via truck and van to either Nogales or Tucson which is a roughly 3-4 hour round trip. There were no agents out patrolling, they’re all transporting or processing.

What claim do people from Senegal and Mauritania have to enter and stay in the US illegally? They have zero reason to be here. None. They should be immediately deported.

Dozens of border agents have been killed over the years.

90% of those entering have no claim.
Mauritania is a "special interest" country. Special interest countries are those “that have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members.”

AZ: I encountered a group of men from Mauritania who told me they were traveling alone and had no family here.
One of them laughed at me when I asked if he was scared…

They are hoping to head to New York.

Mauritania is considered a special interest country. At least 175 migrants from special interest countries were encountered yesterday according to CBP data.

Part of the package deal from the smugglers is a story to get through asylum. They say they were at a protest then tortured by police or something to that effect. Asylum law makes it so you can get asylum with no documentary evidence, just testimony.

What a scam. Evidence must be mandatory. Anyone can lie.

Why are Democrats orchestrating/supporting open borders?

This is a sad point in my life where I realize for perhaps the first time the wheels of government are intentionally working to undermine the will of the people. This isn’t a question of the people legitimately being overruled by the bill of rights. It’s a simple policy question.
